National Forklift Safety Day – 9 June 2026

Forklift truck operators are being injured at work, more often than not, due to everyday tasks like manual handling or poor site conditions. UKMHA’s National Forklift Safety Day (NFSD) 2026 is focused on tackling this head-on, by equipping businesses and operators with the knowledge and training they need to be safer around the workplace.
National Forklift Safety Day aims to emphasise best practices for MHE use to ensure safe workplaces for everyone.

Three new training courses are being launched:
• Manual Handling for MHE Technicians
• Train the Trainer: Manual Handling for MHE Technicians
• Introduction to First Aid
These courses will reduce injuries by addressing the specific manual handling tasks undertaken by forklift operators – providing clearer workplace guidance and targeted training whilst also equipping operators with the first aid skills required when needed.
The courses will be held in Kibworth, Leicestershire.
