The Nürburgring 24 doesn't care who you are, what you've built, or how well it's been going.
Twenty hours in, our race was over. 😟
The #26 PROsport Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo had been as high as sixth. Mik Grenier, Chris Lulham, Marek Böckmann and Adam Christodoulou were driving the wheels off it. Then the splitter let go, and continuing wasn't worth the risk. The right call, made at the right time.
That's what the Green Hell is for. It's the most honest test of a car, a crew and a component that motorsport has. Things that survive it tend to survive everything else. Things that don't, you fix and come back smarter. Twenty-four hours is a long time to ask anything to keep working at full attack.
Congratulations to Maro Engel, Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Maxime Martin in the #80 for the overall win, and to everyone at PROsport Racing for letting us be part of it.👈️🏁
