It’s been a busy week on site for A&P Structural Engineering, as work continues on a commercial building project for a manufacturing client in Magherafelt.

From steel leaving the yard to seeing the structure come to life on site - this is what it’s all about.

We were delighted to complete structural engineering work for Milk Trans, helping to more than double the square footage of their existing premises to support their continued growth.

Milk Trans operates a busy 24-hour haulage service within the dairy and food industry, delivering bulk milk and edible liquid products across the UK and Ireland. As their operations continue to expand, additional space was needed to support storage, logistics and day-to-day operations.

The completed structure provides a large, modern warehouse facility with the height and strength required for high-level storage and efficient loading bays. As you can see from the photos, the scale of the building really comes into perspective with Cathal standing inside the completed space.

It’s always great to work with local businesses and be part of projects that support companies growing and investing in the region.

Modern machinery plays a huge role in structural engineering - helping us cut, shape and fabricate with precision.

From interpreting drawings and measuring with accuracy, to operating specialist equipment and sometimes relying on old-fashioned, traditional hand tools to mark, shape and finish steel, the work we do still depends on learned trades and practical expertise built over years.
