Partnership in Action:

I am incredibly pleased to showcase one of our latest modernisation projects, where we took an aging hydraulic lift and gave it a high-performance new lease of life.

This project was a true testament to the professionalism and team effort between Unite Lift Services Ltd and GF Lift Hydraulics Ltd.

By combining our strengths, we transformed a legacy system into a modern, reliable asset for our client.

The synergy between our two companies allowed for a seamless ex*****on of a complex split-scope of work:

The specification:

GF Lift Hydraulics provided the hydraulic technical expertise, installing a Hydroelite Veni plug-and-play controller and power unit system, along with a new borehole cylinder, pipe rupture valve and main hose.

Unite Lifts focused on the passenger experience and aesthetics, delivering a full car reline, a new car door, and new landing entrances complete with modern pushes and TFT indicators and full testing.

The Result:

We have just successfully completed the consultant witness test. To top it off, we received glowing praise from the lift consultant complimenting the project team on their conduct and quality of work.

A huge well done to the entire team at GF Lift Hydraulics and Unite Lifts, this is a perfect example of what can be achieved when two specialists work in total sync.

At GF Lift Hydraulics, we know that in a high-pressure factory environment, every minute of downtime impacts the bottom line.

Our team recently tackled a critical twin cylinder replacement, ensuring production stayed on track.

The Project Scope:

• Full twin cylinder replacement.
• Installation of new balanced twin pipe
rupture valves for enhanced safety.
• Complete hose replacement and fresh
hydraulic oil.

Thanks to the seamless coordination between our on-site engineers, the technical department, and our project coordinators, we hit our deadline exactly as promised. The lift is back in service, and the customer is back to full capacity!

We’re proud to share our first hydraulic modernisation projects using the Hydroware H2 package — and what a result it’s been.

The quality of this modernisation speaks for itself. Following completion, the client was so pleased with the outcome that they have already placed an order for a second H2 unit at another site — always the best feedback you can receive.

This project included the installation of a Hydroelite Veni system, along with new push buttons, TFT indicators, shaft information systems, and new hoses, delivering a clean, modern and reliable solution throughout.

A real standout of the H2 package is the 5-year parts warranty, giving long-term peace of mind, alongside the cloud-based remote login feature, which is free for the first year — a fantastic tool for diagnostics, monitoring and future-proofing.

It’s amazing what a little bit of care, attention to detail and the right equipment can achieve. I’m incredibly proud of our GF team and wanted to share these photos with my LinkedIn contacts.

An Incredible Car Lift Modernisation Transformation

As the year draws to an end, we are proud to share the successful completion of a full lift modernisation project, delivering a major upgrade both technically and visually.

The scope of works included:

Installation of a new Hydroelite power and control system with 4 wire pressure tested hose.
Installation of a new borehole hydraulic cylinder and jacket liner for added protection.
Full rebuild and re line of the lift car
Removal of manual gates and installation Meiller Rise automatic doors on both the car and landing, complete with full shaft fascia’s.
Structural modifications, including cutting back the lift car on both sides to accommodate the new entrance arrangement.
This project was completed to the highest standard, highlighting the quality, care, and technical expertise that GF Lift Hydraulics brings to every modernisation.

A huge thank you to our engineers Brad and Liam for their excellent workmanship, and to Mark, for his testing and support and the Project team of Michelle and Ryan who ensured the project ran seamlessly from start to finish.

A great example of teamwork, expertise and engineering in action.

GF Lift Hydraulics has just completed the installation and jointing of a 16-metre borehole cylinder — a challenging project that demanded precision, coordination, and specialist hydraulic knowledge.

Despite the complexity, our Modernisation Team delivered flawlessly, overcoming the installation challenges with skill and professionalism. This project is a testament to the quality of GF’s hydraulic products, engineering capability, and end-to-end support services.

Currently in production: a 4-section, 16-metre hydraulic borehole cylinder.
Each section is being precision-machined and assembled to exact tolerances to ensure smooth operation, long service life, and maximum reliability once installed.

These large-scale cylinders are a testament to the engineering expertise and manufacturing capability that goes into every project we deliver.

Looking forward to installing this monster.

You think you’ve seen bad pipework? Think again…

Our team were called into replace some leaking pipework, but what we found was worse that we had anticipated…. completely corroded, rusty pipework / fittings and hoses that had rotted through!!

This level of corrosion doesn’t happen overnight — it’s the result of years of exposure, moisture, slowly eating everything away.

Preventative maintenance could have saved a lot of time, money, and avoids the kind of failures that lead to dangerous situations and full component replacement.

Luckily new pressure tested 4 wire hoses are on order and being installed and protected, to avoid future failures.

The Power of Proper Maintenance

When we opened up this GMV valve during a valve service, ram seal change, and oil replacement, what we found was shocking:

❌ Internally caked in sludge and dirt
❌ Blocked filters
❌ Static, poor ride quality

And yet — it was still running!

Fast forward after a full strip-down, clean, internal seal replacement, oil change, and valve set-up:

✅ Restored ride quality
✅ Clean, efficient system
✅ Lift safely back in service

This is a great reminder that regular maintenance is more than routine — it’s the difference between a failing system and a reliable one
