Our Story

Hi and welcome to Dancing light candles

I started making candles before I married my late husband Matthew, just as a hobbie as I wanted to replace the candle my mother-in-law to be at the time gave me a candle in a hurricane vase with some pink sand for Christmas and I had lit the candle in the vase while I was sitting watching tv and thought came to me that when this candle has finished what am I going to do about getting another candle to replace that candle. So I was just looking through ebay and Amazon and then I thought I could make my own candles and I went upstairs to my husband to be and discused it with him and started looking into how to make your own candles. So I got the equipment to make them I had even decided to make my own candles for my wedding and I put this idea to Matthew my soon to be husband and he argeed and we discused the colour and the scent we wanted. Thats how I started making my own candles, my friends where interested in having candles from me at their wedding as they had seen what a good job I did with my wedding candles so when my husband passed away I needed something to focus on so I decided to turn it into a business.

When I decided to into business with my candles as I had friends and family asking me for candles, I needed a name for my business so I did a post on facebook asking for a bit help with coming up a company name, it was there were I came up with Dancing Light Candles.

I did research into making candles and how to personnelise candles and make novelty candles, and the different scents and colours, Thats how I started.
