Carbis Loadtec Group Limited

Carbis Loadtec Group Limited Carbis Loadtec Group is a global provider of road and rail tanker loading and road, rail and marine fall prevention systems.

The range of loading arms and their specific application allows Carbis Loadtec to handle virtually every liquid for filling and emptying road and rail tankers. This can take the form of top filling via on open manhole or with the displaced vapours being collected and returned to the operator for disposal. Top filling closed-circuit loading can also incorporate flanged or dry-disconnect connections

on the tanker top for dangerous liquids. Bottom filling and emptying of tankers is increasing and Carbis Loadtec has wide experience and a portfolio of equipment to carry this out without operator effort or exposure to the liquid. Environmental concerns and Health & Safety legislation have combined to make the tanker filling process a far more restrictive action in recent years. Close attention by Carbis Loadtec on these aspects allows us to design safe and clean systems that meet all the necessary constraints. The risk of falling from tanker tops is a subject of increasing concern to operators, users and factory inspectors. Unacceptable levels of injury and fatalities in recent years have made this one of the leading issues within the bulk fluid transfer industries. In many cases, switching to Bottom Loading is not feasible. There exists a clear and present need to make access on tanker tops foolproof and as safe as possible. This section introduces a wide range of systems to suit every budget and tanker/plant configuration. Tanker Access Platforms (Racks) can be designed to suit particular site needs. It cannot be said that a problem is unique. There are a finite number of tanker sizes and access choices possible world-wide. Carbis Loadtec has the solution for all of them. Please call us to see how we can make your tanker access safer and satisfy the authorities.

Carbis Loadtec, a leader in industrial equipment design and chemical tanker loading, is proud to announce the development of a custom metering skid for liquid and anhydrous ammonia, tailored explicitly for a prominent client in the Far East. This innovative solution reflects Carbis Loadtec's commitment to providing state-of-the-art technology that meets the unique needs of the global ammonia market.
As demand for ammonia continues to grow, particularly in agricultural, industrial and renewable applications, precise measurement and handling of this critical substance is paramount. Recognising this demand, Carbis Loadtec collaborated closely with its Far East client to design a metering skid that enhances operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.
The custom metering skid features advanced flow measurement technology and is constructed from high-quality materials to ensure durability and resilience in challenging environments. The design prioritises safety and compliance with international standards and incorporates multiple safety features such as emergency shut-off valves, pressure relief systems and variable vapour pressure control. This commitment to safety is crucial, given the inherent risks of handling ammonia.
"Our new metering skid represents a significant advancement in the way ammonia is managed and monitored," said Alec Keeler, Managing Director of Carbis Loadtec. "By working closely with our client, we were able to create a solution that not only meets their precise requirements but also sets a new benchmark for quality and safety in the industry."
The skid is equipped with sophisticated instrumentation for real-time flow rate, pressure, and temperature monitoring. This level of monitoring ensures that operators can make informed decisions quickly, reducing the risk of overfilling and optimising the export of ammonia in their operations.
In addition to its technical specifications, the metering skid is designed for easy installation and maintenance, minimising downtime and enhancing productivity. This system has been designed to provide a split between anhydrous and liquid ammonia over two loading bays, but it can adapt to total liquid ammonia within minutes to match customer demand.
Carbis Loadtec takes pride in its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The metering skid not only promotes efficient use of resources but also supports the reduction of ammonia emissions through better management practices.
As the project progresses into the final testing stages, Carbis Loadtec anticipates successful installation and commissioning at the client's site in the coming months. This partnership is a testament to Carbis Loadtec's expertise in custom engineering solutions and its ability to meet clients' diverse needs across various sectors.
