At Thanet Crane Hire we are proud to employ a contingent of ex forces in our team. Rob joined us in February 2025 and trained as a skilled crane operator and has recently passed qualification in order to operate our 60t cranes. Robs care and dedication reflect into his work and career as a crane operator.
Rob lost a close friend Cpl Lee Scott while they were serving in Afghanistan, whose wife Nikki Scott started the incredible charity, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, created to help support young people between the ages of 0 and 25 who have lost a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. After Rob told us about this charity we wanted to reach out to them, Scotty’s support hundreds of bereaved families helping to ensure they never feel alone, helping to fill their future with confidence.
