๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿšœ WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND! ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

We had a fantastic time at Clonoulty-Rossmore Vintage Club this weekend.

It was lovely to meet so many people โ€“ both familiar faces and customers and followers we were meeting for the first time.

Thank you to everyone who came over and said hello, and to everyone involved in organising such a brilliant weekend.

We've spotted some great videos from the event, so we'll be sharing a few of them! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿšœ

Thank you for making us feel so welcome. โค๏ธ

โš“ TRACTOR PARTS... BUT NOT ALWAYS FOR TRACTORS! โš“

Something a little different from us today!

Most people know Tractor Spare Parts for Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall tractors, but the BMC and Leyland engines we specialise in weren't only fitted to tractors.

They went to sea too! โš“

We've recently been helping a customer source parts for the BMC 5.1 marine engine in this boat โ€“ and we've now been sent these photographs and a video showing her moving under her own power again.

It's always particularly satisfying to see the end result when we've been involved in helping to supply parts for a project like this.

The owner is documenting the restoration of the boat โ€“ and hopefully plenty of adventures to come โ€“ on his YouTube channel, Black Swan Adventures.

๐ŸŽฅ If you'd like to follow the project, take a look and give his channel a subscribe:

๐Ÿ‘‰ https://www.youtube.com/

It's also a good reminder that our knowledge and parts don't necessarily stop when you take the tractor wheels away!

BMC and Leyland engines found their way into all sorts of applications, including boats, and we regularly receive enquiries about marine and other non-tractor applications. Where an engine shares components with the applications we support, we can often help.

We're looking forward to following Black Swan Adventures and seeing where the boat goes next. โš“

And we'd love to know...

Does anyone else following us have a BMC or Leyland engine powering something other than a tractor?

Boat, generator, digger, industrial equipment or something completely unexpected โ€“ tell us what's in yours! ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ”ง WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY ๐Ÿ”ง

A bit of water pump testing in the workshop this week.

Evie, who is currently with us on work experience from Reaseheath College, has been spending some time in the workshop with Andy, learning how we prepare and check parts before they're ready to go onto the shelf.

Here she is pressure test a batch of water pumps.

It's an important final check. Before these pumps are booked into stock for sale, we want to know that they're properly sealed and doing exactly what they should.

We're pleased to report that they all passed! โœ…

They've now been finished, booked into stock and are sitting on the shelf ready for their next job.

It's also been great having Evie with us and being able to pass on some of the practical workshop knowledge that comes from actually getting involved and doing the job.

Everyone has to learn somewhere โ€“ and there's no substitute for getting your hands on the tools. ๐Ÿ”ง

๐Ÿšœ SPECIAL CUSTOMER TRACTOR OF THE WEEK ๐Ÿšœ

This one couldn't wait until Friday!

Over the Bank Holiday weekend, two Nuffield Universal M4 petrol/TVO tractors have been taking part in The Great West Country Tractor Drive โ€“ an epic journey from Wrotham in Kent to Cheddar Gorge, raising money for The Community Cupboard.

The team set off on 27th August and have spent the last few days covering hundreds of miles on their tractors โ€“ through sunshine, rain and everything else the British weather decided to throw at them! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿšœ

And these two old Nuffields certainly earned their keep.

Yesterday alone, they covered 97 miles on the journey home.

Not bad going for tractors that were built more than 60 years ago!

It wasn't completely trouble-free either. One of these photographs shows a little bit of running repair taking place in a hotel garage in Devizes โ€“ all part of the adventure! ๐Ÿ”ง

The video of them starting up in the pouring rain probably sums up the determination rather nicely. They certainly weren't going to let a bit of weather stop them.

After hundreds of miles, we're sure the tractors โ€“ and their drivers โ€“ were more than ready for the well-earned rest you can see in the photographs!

But most importantly, the whole journey has been undertaken to raise money for The Community Cupboard, which supports local people and families when they need help.

๐Ÿ‘ A huge well done to everyone involved. What a fantastic achievement.

If you've enjoyed following their adventure, or simply think two old Nuffields travelling all the way from Kent to Cheddar Gorge and back deserves a few pounds, there is still time to support their fundraiser:

Every donation, however small, helps towards the reason they did all those miles in the first place.

And from our point of view, we absolutely love seeing these old tractors doing what they were built to do โ€“ getting out there and working rather than simply sitting on a show field.

97 miles in one day on a Nuffield M4 โ€“ who fancies it? ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿšœ

โญ WHY YOUR REVIEWS REALLY DO MATTER TO US โญ

We received this lovely Feefo review from a customer recently:

"The number one place for Nuffield spares" โญโญโญโญโญ

And underneath:

"Perfect fit and function for my 1957 3DL. Shipping was very fast. Have used them a few times prior and am very impressed with their products and service."

Feedback like this genuinely means a lot to us.

Running a specialist business like Tractor Spare Parts involves an enormous amount of work behind the scenes โ€“ researching parts, checking fitment, sourcing or reproducing things correctly, answering technical questions, checking quality and getting orders out of the door as quickly as we can.

Good feedback reminds us that all that hard work and attention to detail is worth it.

But feedback isn't only valuable when it's good.

Constructive criticism โ€“ thankfully we don't get too much of that! ๐Ÿ˜„ โ€“ is important too. If something hasn't gone quite right, we need to know about it. That's how we identify where we can improve and where we need to focus our attention.

One of the things we particularly like about Feefo is that reviews can only be left by genuine customers following a purchase, so the feedback you see comes from people who have actually bought from us.

And then there are our Google reviews...

We've received some absolutely wonderful ones there too, and they are incredibly important to a small specialist business like ours. โญ

So, to everyone who has taken a couple of minutes to leave us a review โ€“ whether on Feefo or Google โ€“ thank you.

We read them. We notice them. And they really do matter to us.

And if you've bought from Tractor Spare Parts and haven't reviewed us yet, we'd be very grateful if you did. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you for continuing to trust us with your Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall tractors. ๐Ÿšœ

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿšœ IRELAND โ€“ WE'RE COMING! ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

We've done it โ€“ the flights are booked! โœˆ๏ธ

We recently shared details of the Clonoulty-Rossmore Vintage Club gathering and said we were trying to work out whether we could make the trip over to Ireland ourselves.

Well, we've managed to juggle the business, farm and family commitments and we're coming!

We're heading over for a very quick weekend to support the Nuffield โ€ข Leyland โ€ข Marshall Tractor Gathering on Sunday 6th September.

We're really looking forward to seeing the tractors and, most importantly, meeting some of our Irish customers and followers face-to-face. We speak to and send parts to so many of you, but don't often get the opportunity to actually meet you!

It really will be a flying visit โ€“ quite literally! ๐Ÿ˜„ โ€“ as we'll be back home ready for Tractor Spare Parts to open as normal on Monday morning.

A quick note about Friday: we may need to close the office slightly earlier than usual so we can get away, but all post and courier parcels will be dispatched as normal.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช So, who are we going to see next Sunday?

If you're heading to Clonoulty-Rossmore, let us know in the comments โ€“ and if you see us there, please come and say hello!

We can't wait! ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช
