Great News! We think we might of found our own Nurse Gladys Immanuel courtesy of one of our lovely regulars Harry the Hat.

Before you order online, just give us a ring or pop in. We might have exactly what you need, ready to go. We might be able to match the price, or even beat it. And you’ll get proper advice from real people who care.
Small independent shops like ours are under real pressure. If more of those everyday purchases keep going online, there may come a point where keeping our doors open just isn’t possible. We don’t want that, and we don’t think the village wants that either. We’re not asking for favours, we’re not asking you to spend more. We’re just asking you to give us the chance to compete. So please think local, check local, buy local whenever you can. A quick phone call could save you money, and help keep your village shop here for the future.

Your response to our last post has really lifted our spirits. We`ve welcomed some new faces and familiar ones too and we can`t thank you enough. Every visit, every kind word, every little purchase ads up to something big, keeping this shop alive at the heart of the village. We`re still here with the screws, the dog food, the keys and the chat on days you need that too. Truly from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Here`s to serving you for many more years to come.

People often tell us how lucky Arnside is to have a traditional hardware shop that`s well-stocked, friendly and always willing to help. We never take those comments for granted. The reality is, shops like ours only survive if people use them. Every time you choose to shop locally instead of buying online, you're helping keep that knowledge, advice, and personal service here in the village. So next time you need anything, a single screw, a bag of dog food, a new key or just some friendly advice, pop in and see us. We`d love to help and we`re really grateful to everyone who already supports us. It genuinely means a great deal and we hope to be here serving Arnside for many years to come.

The Key Market is proud to announce that we have now been accredited as a SERMI approved Auto Locksmiths. The new regulations come into force on 1st April 2026. This new accreditation means that no one will be allowed to access security information from your car ie, key codes, Pin codes. Unless they have been Sermi approved. This will mean all auto locksmiths will need to be DBS checked have full insurance in place and have passed a rigorous ability check.
