AIC Group recently welcomed Ethna McNamee - Head of Regional Business Western Region, Invest Northern Ireland, following the publication of our patent for the Intelligent Combustion Management System (I.C.M.S™"). Pictured alongside Ethna are Control System Architects Conan O'Carroll and Thomas Kelly, whose work has played a key role in bringing I.C.M.S to life.

This development represents a significant advancement within the sector, introducing predictive control and real-time optimisation capabilities designed to improve efficiency, operational stability, and environmental performance. By analysing waste before combustion begins, I.C.M.S™ enables operators to anticipate variability, optimise combustion conditions in advance, and maintain stable performance even under challenging waste streams.

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years’ post-graduate experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work across the full project lifecycle from consultation and design through to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2–3 years post-graduate experience in mechanical/industrial projects
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (sheet metal & weldment design essential)
- Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK.

Location: Armagh, Northern Ireland
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Mon–Thu 8:00–17:00 | Fri 8:00–15:15
