We hope you have had a great Christmas and all the very best to you for 2026.
Service update:
I will be unavailable from Monday the 5th Jan until Friday the 9th January. I will be available this weekend and the weekend after should there be any urgent visits required. Normal planned work will resume on Monday the 12th January 2026. Please leave a message as I won’t be able to answer calls and I will get back to you on the 12th or 13th.

HOUSE PRICES in the area will FALL... a lot .... open views from your back garden. GONE.... lovey open fields? ... watch out for more Monster Pylons, solar farms and battery storage in the future. You think you are not affected??? think again.

With the power problems tonight it’s worth turning off the power switch to your boiler if you have a power cut. A power surge when it goes back on can damage electronics in your system. Turn it back on once the power is restored.

IDEAL BOILER RECALL

Ideal have issued a recall on some of their boilers installed from August 2022. Although this is not a brand I use for installs I do work on them and there may be some out there that are effected. I will be checking the boilers during service visits.
If you have an ideal boiler please follow the link below and input your serial number. This will tell you if you have an effected product and gives information on repairs. These will be carried out by Ideal free of charge.

Some things to look out for after high winds.
When safe to do so have a look up at your boiler flue terminal, especially if you have one that exits through your roof. If it looks like it’s moved or is squint at all it’s worth getting it checked.
It’s a good time to check carbon monoxide alarms. Press the button and check they’re in date.
If you have a power cut, turn off the boiler mains switch if possible. This will stop any power surge damaging electronics when the power goes back on. Same goes for other sensitive electrical equipment.
