🔧 WE'RE HIRING – CODED TIG WELDER

H&I Engineering Ltd are currently looking for an experienced Coded TIG Welder to join our team.

The role will involve a combination of workshop fabrication and site work, working on a variety of projects across our engineering operations.

We're looking for someone who:
• Has proven TIG welding experience
• Holds relevant coded welding qualifications
• Can read and work from engineering drawings
• Is confident working independently and as part of a team
• Is willing to undertake occasional site work
• Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship

Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel and pipework would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity to join a progressive engineering company with a varied workload and ongoing investment in our facilities and equipment.

We took delivery of two new vans from Telford Automobiles, Carlisle today. Next job is to get the signwriting done and add these vehicles to our fleet. H&I are constantly investing in the future of the business, these vans will improve our site services capability and continuity of the business.

From fabrication to galvanising – another project completed by H&I Engineering Ltd. 🔩

We’ve just received these fabricated components back from our galvanisers, and the finished result looks great.

The parts were fabricated and welded in-house before being sent for hot-dip galvanising, providing a durable, long-lasting protective finish suitable for demanding industrial and outdoor applications.

From cutting and fabrication through to welding and finishing, we’re able to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and attention to detail at every stage.

Every pipework project begins as lengths of pipe, plate, and forgings arriving at the workshop. What appears to be simple steel is the foundation of critical infrastructure that may one day carry water, steam, chemicals, or energy.
Detailed drawings and specifications are reviewed by the fabrication team. Every dimension, weld preparation, and fl**ge orientation is planned to ensure the finished assembly performs exactly as designed.
Pipe sections are cut, bevelled, set up and prepared for welding.

Far from new, but this set of rolls will be a great addition to our workshop. The large capacity rolls will allow us to roll all our boiler patch plates in-house. We have a few things still to organise on the shop floor to make space for this kit, and once they are levelled we should be good in a few weeks. This set really boosts our rolling capabilities and will be able to offer more than just patch plates in the future.
