Tiger WAR-I Series winches are fitted with an integral load limiter which automatically prevents overloading of the winch. Load limiter is 100% repeatable at all working pressures and does not wear or generate damaging heat. The load limiter is set to activate at 175% of WLL on the first layer, this enables the winch to lift the working load on the top working layer.

Our quad cam pawl system is fitted to PROCB/SS20 chain blocks and PROLH/SS19/UL26 lever hoists. With a conventional twin pawl brake mechanism (teardrop design) failure can occur if the pawl spring erodes, fractures or a shock load bounces the pawls out of the ratchet gear. Without the spring these systems rely on gravity keeping the pawls engaged and are flawed when the hoist is used at angles away from the vertical. The Tiger quad cam pawl system eliminates these common failure modes and allows the mentioned Tiger units to be safely used for fleeting and cross hauling applications up to 60° without de-rating.
