Successful repair completed on a Vision Automation VisioRead 4A Inspection Controller. Our team in Ireland recently completed a full service and repair on this Vision Automation VisioRead 4A Inspection Controller experiencing serious boot up issues, VAI port errors, and failure to load the Visio Read application. We replaced the power supply and installed new cooling fans, battery, adjusted and optimised the BIOS settings and fully tested system performance.

The unit now powers up cleanly, the OS loads correctly, and the customer’s Visio Read application launches as expected.

Omar brings a wealth of experience, holding degrees in Business and Management. He joined Rockwell Automation in 2021, working within Customer Success. He has now moved internally to join Daniel Morgan, Nassim Tamdrari, and Conall Mulholland in the Lektronix Customer Care Team, where he will be supporting clients across Ireland and France.

Our team in Poland has recently completed a specialist repair project for a customer in the renewable energy sector, working on two Infineon inverter modules: 12MS6012F6C3G30099 and 12MS6012F6C3G30098.
To ensure these units were restored to full operational performance, we engineered a custom-built test rig specifically designed to simulate real-world operating conditions. This allowed us to fully functional test each device after repair and validate performance with complete confidence.
The repair process involved:
- Full disassembly, cleaning, and servicing of each inverter
- Replacement of suspected worn or damaged components
- Comprehensive testing on the newly developed test platform
Based on our assessment, most likely cause of failure was end of life degradation within the DC bus circuitry, a common issue a components age under continuous load.

Turkey Still on the Menu for Christmas Day!
We received some Siemens screens requiring urgent attention (Siemens 6AV3627-5BB00-0AE0, Siemens 6AV3617-1JC00-0AX1) from a turkey processor whose production lines were severely impacted at this crucial time of year.

Understanding the urgency, our workshop prioritised these repairs to minimise disruption for the customer. The screens had multiple issues, including display faults, button malfunctions, and components degraded by age. Due to the harsh environment they had operated in, the units also required thorough cleaning and servicing to ensure maximum reliability once reinstalled.

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Premanandhan, our new Workshop Engineer in Newry!

Premanandhan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, and we are confident that his skills and passion for electronics and customer solutions will make a significant impact.
Before joining RA, Premanandhan has worked in electrical, field service and electronic service engineer roles involving monitoring operations and system maintenance, service calls, installations and handovers, as well various bench repairs similar to our operations here in Newry.

Premanandhan is educated in electronics and electrical engineering and has good knowledge, abilities and skills in SMT, THT & PCB fault analysis, AC/DC converters, UPS, PLC, I/O Cards, Sensors and SMD Power components. He has experience in the maintenance, testing and quality control of numerous devices, as well as setup, programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley, ABB, Control Techniques, Danfoss, KEB, Lenze, Siemens and much more. Premanandhan is passionate about electronics and it is great to have him with us. Welcome aboard, Premanandhan…!
