It is not often do you see a pressure sensor with a IP67 rated compact field housing that allows you to wire the sensor in the field, through the M12 cable gland, onto the screw terminal built inside the housing.

When the Arrabona Racing Team contacted Applied Measurements looking for sponsors, we jumped at the chance. The specific team that we are supporting is comprised of first year university students from the University of Porto in Porto, Portugal. This team is referred to as the Art_13 team, with different teams based in other European countries.

We donated six 250N DBBSM load cells, six SGA/A amplifiers and twelve rod ends to help them construct a load measuring system. This system will measure the dynamic loads on the chassis during mechanical trials.

The vehicle that the Porto team will be testing is a 80kw, 4 wheel drive, all electric racing car. If all goes well, the Porto team will be competing in races in Austria and Germany.

Sensors are sometimes works of art and these beautifully constructed LS01 displacement sensors are no exception. Specified by the customer to have a 300mm range, 4-20mA (3-wire) output and an IP67 rated 4-pin, radial M12 connector, these displacement sensors will measure movement exquisitely.

Today, wouldn't feel right without a glimpse of the PR3203 very low pressure dry/dry differential sensor. Based on the PR3202, this modified version has a 0-10V output and will measure pressure differences between 0-5mbar.
