AT Best Handlers are looking for a sales and Hire Desk Assistant to join our team in Airdrie.

We are looking for an organised, reliable and enthusiastic person who can provide excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our hire desk.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of hire desk and administrative duties, including:

- ☎️ Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to emails
- 📋 Processing equipment hires
- 🚚 Organising delivery and collection paperwork
- 🧾 Processing invoices
- 📁 Filing and maintaining compliance documentation
- 🖥️ General administration and data entry
- 🤝 Liaising with customers, drivers and colleagues
- Ensuring paperwork and records are accurate and kept up to date

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Organised and has excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating by telephone and email
- Reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Computer literate
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Professional and friendly when dealing with customers

Previous experience within a hire desk, plant, machinery or similar administrative role would be advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Position Details

📍 Location: Airdrie
🕐 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
💷 Salary: DOE (Dependent on Experience)

A.T. Best Handlers were proud to once again sponsor Peebles Agricultural Show 2026.

A huge thank you to all our customers and friends, new and old, who came along to see us today. A fantastic day was had by all!

It was great to see the incredible draw this show has, bringing together so many people from both within and outside the agricultural community. We spoke to people from all over today, including Ayrshire, Argyll, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Midlothian, East Lothian, Fife, Dumfries and Galloway and, of course, the Borders. (As well as many more)

It really shows what a fantastic job the committee does in putting on such a spectacular show, so a massive thank you and well done to everyone involved. 👏

We’d also like to thank all the A.T. Best staff who helped with the set-up and running of our stand today. Your hard work is very much appreciated!
