About the Company:
Electro-Tek is a well-established, Aberdeen-based electrical contractor delivering domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical services across Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland.

About the Role:
Due to new contract awards, we are looking for a proactive and organised Commercial Coordinator to join our team. This is ideally a full-time role, but we may consider part time also, and is based in our office in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in quantity surveying, commercial administration, or project support who is looking to play a key role in the coordination and commercial management of projects.
You will support the commercial and operational aspects of projects, working closely with the wider team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.
As this is a standalone commercial support role within the business, the ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and communicate effectively across teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical and commercial administrative support across multiple projects
• Assist with contract management, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Collate and support the preparation of tender submissions
• Coordinate project information between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider team
• Monitor project budgets and track commercial performance
• Prepare and submit Applications for Payment in line with contractual deadlines
• Support the management of subcontractor accounts, including variations and final accounts

Skills & Experience Required:
• Experience in a commercial, quantity surveying, project coordination, or technical administrative role
• Understanding of contract management and commercial processes within construction or M&E (desirable)
• Previous experience within electrical or M&E contracting would be beneficial but is not essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also supporting the wider team
• Full UK driving licence
• Legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Administrative Assistant
5 Days Per Week (Hours Negotiable)

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our small, friendly office team. This role can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, and we are happy to be flexible with working hours for the right candidate.

We are a long-established local Electrical Contracting business, trading for over 25 years, and we pride ourselves on being a reliable, down-to-earth company with a strong team around us. Our office is a relaxed, non-corporate environment, and we are looking for someone who is happy to work as part of a small team where everyone helps each other out.

The role is varied and would suit someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy office where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities
▪Answering and directing phone calls
▪Checking and responding to emails using Microsoft Office
▪General administrative duties to help keep the office running smoothly
▪Maintaining the electronic diary / scheduling system
▪Liaising with customers and clients to arrange work
▪Allocating jobs to engineers, often in a fast-paced environment
▪Data entry onto Sage software
▪Issuing invoices and quotations using Sage software
▪Photocopying, scanning and general clerical tasks
▪Helping with any other office duties as required

Skills & Experience
▪Previous experience in an administrative role is essential
▪Good computer skills and accurate data entry
▪Confident telephone manner and good communication skills
▪Organised and able to manage several tasks at once
▪Able to work well in a small team
▪Experience in the construction / electrical trade would be an advantage
▪Experience using Sage would be helpful but not essential

About the role
This role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. We are open to discussing flexible working hours for the right candidate.

For part-time hours, we would ideally be looking for availability across Monday to Friday, with shorter working days. (This may particularly suit someone looking to work around school hours).

We are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to get involved, and happy to work in a hands-on environment rather than a large corporate office.
