Erin started her career as the only woman on her team.

Today she leads Wood’s Project Development and Engineering team, delivering solutions for renewable energy and battery energy storage system developers.

Through her career, Erin has become a strong leader and a fierce advocate for diversity, championing women in energy. Under her mentorship and guidance, Erin’s team has grown tenfold.

Meet Belkis – a well-rounded leader who brings purpose, care, and integrity to everything she does. 🌟

Moving from Venezuela to Spain, Belkis Medina began her career in process design. It was when she joined Wood, thirteen years ago, she got the opportunity to pursue what she truly aspired to - managing and leading complex projects.

A pivotal moment came when she was assigned to one of Africa’s largest and most advanced refinery projects, where Wood served as Project Management Consultant (PMC).

In her role as Project Manager, she led every stage from pre-commissioning to performance testing. With unwavering commitment and a solution-driven mindset, her leadership contributed to an outstanding customer satisfaction score and two awards.

Outside of work, she’s a proud mother of two, a yoga enthusiast, and a passionate advocate for women in leadership.

Her goal for the future? Keep growing, to lead large teams and build motivated, aligned project groups.

Our team in Abu Dhabi recently volunteered their time to support Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs in Dubai. 🤍

Volunteers spent quality time with children throughout the day, engaging in arts and crafts, singing and dancing and group activities.

Supporting communities where we operate is paramount and we are proud to work with the Senses team who provide a nurturing environment for their residents to develop new skills and improve their abilities. ✨

Honouring National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada

For a period of more than 150 years, over 150,000 First Nations, Inuit and Métis Nation children were taken from their families and communities to attend Residential Schools, often located far from their homes. Many never returned.

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to reflect and honour the children that never returned home, the survivors of residential schools and their families and communities.

We are committed to listening, learning and working in partnership with Indigenous communities to build a future built on respect, equity and truth.

We encourage our teams across Canada to wear orange, to take time to learn and support Indigenous voices today and every day. 🧡
