We are pleased to announce a new sales partnership agreement between iMPAQ TECHNOLOGIES, a manufacturer of custom engineered subsea electric motors, HPU’s and electric and electro-hydraulic tooling solutions based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and Deeplynx Solutions, a provider of tailored tool and equipment solutions for subsea installation and decommissioning operations based in Brazil.

Through this agreement, Deeplynx Solutions will actively support the marketing and sales of iMPAQ TECHNOLOGIES products across South America, expanding the reach of our technologies into new markets and applications in the region.

This partnership represents an important step in iMPAQ’s growth strategy, enabling us to work with a strong regional partner who understands the local industry and can provide close support to customers throughout the territory.

A client recently approached iMPAQ Technologies with a challenge: their Tiger ROV needed to perform a cutting workscope but lacked the required onboard power to run a hydraulic cutting tool.

Our engineers quickly adapted our RovPAQ all-electric 9” cutter, integrating it with a BatteryPAQ Li-ion pod and buoyancy for a plug-and-play, neutrally buoyant solution. The RovPAQ electric tool has the same equivalent power as the industry standard GR29 hydraulic tool with a full load cutting duration of up to 60 minutes when used with the 20Ah battery pod.

🔧 Case Study: Pushing the Limits of an Observation-Class ROV - Do more with less!!

We wanted to answer a simple question:

How far could we push a compact observation-class ROV—adding more functionality to show what is possible and prove that these small vehicles can offer enhanced capabilities without the need for a larger ROV?

To find out, we built and tested a fully integrated setup in-house, combining:

🌀 Our RovPAQ Mini Cleaner for effective spot cleaning capability
🌊 The Impact Subsea FMD Probe for flooded member detection

The goal was to create a flexible ROV package that could handle both inspection and cleaning tasks—traditionally reserved for larger systems.

What we learned:

✅ These tools can coexist on a small ROV without compromising performance
✅ You can deliver real functionality upgrades with minimal increase in footprint
✅ This setup is ideal for operators looking to simplify offshore operations without sacrificing capability

This wasn’t a job for a client—it was a hands-on case study, designed and executed by our team to test the limits and prove what’s possible.

It’s been a busy few weeks for our RovPAQ Electric Mini Cleaners!
From supporting a recent ROV salvage operation off the coast of Great Yarmouth for a valued client, to being integrated into two ROV models for extended trials with a prospective customer — the momentum is building!!
Next stop: Grimsby, where the Mini Cleaner will be put to work on a wind farm project, delivering precision spot cleaning and assisting with a magnetic sensor installation.

iMPAQ Technologies is happy to announce that we have just completed the manufacture of a new batch of BatteryPAQ pods for deployment. Our team has been diligently developing the BatteryPAQ product line, and this latest batch has successfully passed pressure testing at a depth of 300 meters.

These robust power solutions are designed to support our DivePAQ range of electric diver tools, RovPAQ electric tools, and can also be utilized to power a variety of other underwater equipment.

Here at iMPAQ Technologies our underwater test site is designed to load test and function test subsea motors and HPU’s – primarily monitoring dynamic performance and thermal behaviour. This is used to load test our own products but can just as easily be used to test third-party motors and HPU’s.

With this test site, we can simulate real operational loads to validate performance, durability and safety before the products are deployed by our clients on projects around the world.

This test site is in the process of being upgraded to offer this service for larger motors and HPU’s.
