En ce début d’année, nous avons eu la chance de numériser le monastère de Saorge, dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec le Centre des monuments nationaux.
La vidéo ci-dessous, que vous avez peut-être déjà vue dans l’article du CMN, présente le résultat de ce travail de numérisation. Pour obtenir ce modèle 3D, nous avons réalisé environ 500 positions de scan laser et capturé plus de 50 000 photos, au drone comme au sol.
Ces milliers de données ont ensuite été assemblées durant plusieurs semaines pour produire une maquette 3D fidèle à quelques millimètres près. Un tel modèle ouvre de nombreux usages : inspection technique, génération de plans, archivage numérique, médiation culturelle ou encore visites à distance.

At the beginning of this year, we had the opportunity to digitize the Saorge Monastery, as part of a partnership with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux.
The video below, which you may have already seen in the CMN article, presents the results of this digitization work. To obtain this 3D model, we performed approximately 500 laser scan positions and captured more than 50,000 photos, both by drone and from the ground.
These thousands of data points were then assembled over several weeks to produce a 3D model accurate to within a few millimeters. Such a model opens up numerous uses: technical inspection, plan generation, digital archiving, cultural mediation, and even remote visits.
