📈 Au programme : des conférences passionnantes sur l'évolution des investissements à Walibi Belgium, la vision du groupe Plopsa, le futur de ces entités, ainsi que le management de la sécurité lors d'événements majeurs tels que Tomorrowland.
🤝 Cette rencontre a également été une excellente opportunité pour échanger avec de nombreux professionnels du secteur, partager des expériences et découvrir les défis techniques et opérationnels qui façonnent notre industrie.
🔧 La journée s'est terminée par une visite des coulisses de deux attractions emblématiques du parc : Kondaa et Mecalodon.
🙏 Un grand merci aux organisateurs et aux intervenants pour ces échanges inspirants et ces moments de partage entre passionnés de l'industrie des attractions.

🎢 Looking back on an enriching day at the IAAPA Event hosted by Walibi Belgium on June 5th, 2026!
📈 The program featured insightful presentations on investment trends at Walibi Belgium, the vision of the Plopsa Group, the future development of these parks, and safety management at major events such as Tomorrowland.
🤝 The event was also a great opportunity to connect with many professionals from the attractions industry, exchange experiences, and discuss the technical and operational challenges shaping our sector.
🔧 The day concluded with an exclusive backstage tour of two of the park's flagship attractions: Kondaa and Mecalodon.

🎢 The 25th SNELAC meetings will begin this Wednesday, May 20th at OK Corral.

🤝 As every year, this event will above all be an opportunity to meet, exchange and discuss the projects and challenges of the industry.

🛠️ At E&S Rides, we support operators in modernization and retrofit projects, but also in the supply of new attractions, by providing solutions tailored to the technical and operational requirements of each park.

🎢 Modernizing a ride to improve its operation.

📝 E&S Rides recently supported Cobac Parc in the revamping of Le Corsaire, an iconic Soquet coaster within the park.

⚙️ Due to the obsolescence of the automation system, this retrofit project involved a complete redesign of the ride control system in order to improve daily operations, maintenance and usability.

📐 This modernization notably included:
• renewal of the ride control system
• redesign of the operator panel with a modern HMI
• improved station safety
• automatic brake management based on the train speed in the station
• management of the platform access gate locking system
• complete rewriting of the PLC program

🔧 This project was carried out in collaboration with the park teams and technical partners in order to meet operational and maintenance needs while respecting the ride’s safety requirements.

🎢 Electrical retrofit of Dino Splash at Parc Saint Paul

📝 Dino Splash recently underwent an electrical retrofit carried out by E&S Rides to modernize the control system, improve operations and enhance ride safety.

⚡ The obsolete electrical system and functional safety components were fully redesigned with the park teams and Looping Group.

📐 The project included:
• SISTEMA documentation
• electrical drawings
• new electrical cabinet
• new operator panel
• software programming
• commissioning and testing

🔧 The project also included a new HMI and a fully rewritten operating program.

🛠️ An automatic procedure now stores the boats out of the water at the end of the day to prevent them from filling with water once the pumps are switched off.

✅ Following validation by TÜV NORD Nederland Leisure, the attraction reopened on April 4th for the start of the 2026 season.

🎢 Preserving the legacy of iconic attractions

📝 We were pleased to welcome the complete Bayern Kurve train into one of our partner’s workshops this winter, where it underwent a full overhaul before returning to operation.

🕰️ Working on such an iconic attraction meant, above all, respecting its history, identity, and the craftsmanship that has shaped it over the decades.

📐 As part of this project, we developed the technical drawings, ensured detailed project monitoring, and prepared full traceability documentation, in close collaboration with our partner and our client.

🔧 Each step was designed to support the long-term operation of the Bayern Kurve, while remaining true to its original design and spirit.

🤝 We were honored to contribute to the continued operation of this attraction and sincerely thank our client for their trust.

🏛️ Evolving a classic ride with high standards

🏆 Some rides stand the test of time without losing what makes them successful.
This is the case for Sirocco - Direction Delahautemaison.

🧩 Over time, a key challenge arises: certain components are no longer available.
The objective is clear: adapt the existing ride without altering its behavior, while meeting current industry standards.

👉 Issues:

• Original parts no longer available on the market
• Need to preserve ride behavior and identity
• Requirement for a structured and compliant engineering approach

🔧 Solutions:
✅ Risk analysis and delivery of a complete technical file
✅ Design of a replacement system for trailer attachments using ball joints, providing a true industrial solution
✅ Redesign of clevises and central hub in compliance with EN-13814 for arm connections

✨ Result: a ride already back in operation for the season, running smoothly while preserving its original character.

👉 This project reflects our approach: supporting each operator with the same level of engineering rigor, delivering reliable solutions adapted to real operational needs.
