Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Mechanical Technician, based in Mojo. The technician will perform day-to-day duties such as conducting equipment maintenance, executing preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and assisting in repairs. The role involves working closely with the team to ensure all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely.

Minimum technical specifications (must-have)

Rated maximum drilling depth: ≥ 550 m (safety margin).

Bore diameter capability: continuous capability for Ø 300 mm final bore (show the maximum and minimum diameters the rig can drill).

Rig type & mount: truck-, crawler- or skid-mounted heavy duty rotary / mud-rotary rig suitable for deep water wells.

Hoisting system: rated to lift the full drill string + casing for 500 m with a safety margin—operator must provide the calculated safe working load for the proposed string.

Rotary drive: rotary table or top-drive capable of drilling Ø 300 mm comfortably; operator must state rated torque and RPM range and confirm compatibility with PDC and tricone bits.

Power unit: diesel prime mover sized for full operations (drilling, mud pumps, compressor) — supplier to state engine HP and electrical/generator output.

Circulation system: fully provisioned mud system (mud tanks, centrifugal/positive displacement circulation pumps) sized for deep drilling; or air/air-lift system if air-rotary is proposed. Supplier to state mud pump capacity (flow & pressure) and tank volumes.

Compressor (if required): rated capacity & pressure for air rotary / air lifting if applicable.

Drill string / rods: supply or guaranteed availability of drill rods/pipes in sufficient total length for 500 m plus spares; include thread type and breakdown lengths.

Casing supply & running gear: ability to run Ø 300 mm (nominal) casing or state casing diameters available; include casing centralizers, shoe, and landing accessories.

Bits & BHA: PDC and/or tricone bits suitable for expected formations, plus spare bits. Supplier to confirm bit sizes compatible with Ø 300 mm hole.

Mud / drilling fluids consumables: provision or supply arrangement for bentonite, polymers, weighting material, additives; spare parts for pumps and mixers.

Crew: qualified driller, drillers’ helpers, mud tech and service crew included or available; provide CVs or proof of experience on
