በኢትዮጵያ ግብርና ምርምር ኢንስቲትዩት የቁሉምሳ ግብርና ሜካናይዜሽን ምርምርና ስልጠና ማዕከል ባልደረባ የሆኑት አቶ ግርማ ደምሰው በሞት መለየታቸውን በከፍተኛ ሃዘን እንገልጻለን።

አቶ ግርማ ደምሰው በማዕከሉ የትራክተር ኦፕሬተርና አሰልጣኝ በመሆን ለ20 ዓመታት ያህል በትጋትና በታማኝነት ሲያገለግሉ ቆይተዋል። በአገልግሎት ዘመናቸውም ለማዕከሉ የሥራ እንቅስቃሴ ለምርምርና ለሰው ኃይል ሥልጠና ያበረከቱት አስተዋጽኦ ሁሌም በአድናቆት ይታወሳል።

አቶ ግርማ ደምሰው በሕመም ምክንያት ሕክምና ሲከታተሉ ከቆዩ በኋላ መስከረም 20 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም. ከዚህ ዓለም በሞት ተለይተዋል።

በዚህ አሳዛኝ ወቅት ለቤተሰቦቻቸው፣ ለዘመድ አዝማዶቻቸው፣ ለወዳጆቻቸውና ለመላው የሥራ ባልደረቦቻቸው ከልብ የመነጨ መጽናናትን እየተመኘን፣ የተሰማንን ጥልቅ ሃዘን እንገልጻለን።

ነፍሳቸው በሰላም ትረፍ። ለቤተሰቦቻቸውና ለወዳጆቻቸው ፈጣሪ መጽናናቱን ይስጣቸው።

በኢትዮጵያ ግብርና ምርምር ኢንስቲትዩት (EIAR) የቴክኖሎጂ መነሻ ብዜትና ዘር ምርምር ዳይሬክቶሬት እና የቁሉምሳ ግብርና ሜካናይዜሽን ምርምርና ስልጠና ማዕከል በጋራ ባዘጋጁት የስልጠና ፕሮግራም፣ ከመስከረም 11–15 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም. ሲካሄድ የነበረው ስልጠና በተሳካ ሁኔታ ተጠናቋል።
የስልጠናው ዋና ዓላማ መሠረታዊ የእርሻ መሳሪያዎችና ማሽነሪዎችን አጠቃቀም፣ አያያዝና ኦፕሬሽን በተመለከተ የተሳታፊዎችን ዕውቀትና ተግባራዊ ክህሎት ለማሳደግ ነዉ። በስልጠናውም የዘር አምራቾችንና የማሽነሪ አገልግሎት ሰጪዎችን ጨምሮ፣ ከተለያዩ የኢትዮጵያ ክልሎችና ከተለያዩ የግብርና ዘርፎች የተውጣጡ ተሳታፊዎች ተሳትፈዋል።
ስልጠናው በተገቢው ሁኔታ እንዲዘጋጅና በተሳካ ሁኔታ እንዲካሄድ የኢትዮጵያ ግብርና ምርምር ኢንስቲትዩት (EIAR)፣ በተለይም የቴክኖሎጂ መነሻ ብዜትና ዘር ምርምር ዳይሬክቶሬት ያደረገው ከፍተኛ ትብብርና ድጋፍ የሚደነቅ ሲሆን፣ ለሌሎች አርአያ የሚሆን ነው።

Conservation Agriculture(CA)

Kulumsa Agricultural Mechanization Research and Training Center (KAMRTC) is not only a center for agricultural mechanization training but also actively conducts research to develop and promote sustainable agricultural technologies. One of the major research activities currently underway focuses on (CA) technology.

CA is a climate-smart farming approach based on the principles of minimum soil disturbance, permanent soil cover, and diversified crop rotations. The research aims to evaluate appropriate conservation agriculture practices and machinery that improve crop productivity while conserving natural resources.

Compared with conventional tillage, conservation agriculture significantly reduces soil disturbance and minimizes soil compaction, thereby maintaining better soil structure and improving water infiltration.

CA reduces environmental pollution by lowering fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through fewer field operations and it is a climate-smart agricultural practice.

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the second round joint training program conducted by Kulumsa Agricultural Mechanization Research and Training Center in collaboration with the Oromia Agricultural Bureau.

The primary objective of this training was to enhance the skills and knowledge of young people in farm machinery operation and maintenance. The program also aimed to create employment opportunities for youth by developing their technical capacity in agricultural machinery maintenance, while helping farmers address challenges related to the operation, utilization, and maintenance of farm machinery and implements.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Oromia Agricultural Bureau for its valuable collaboration and support.
