🎤 Enric Aramburu, Product Manager for CAE, presented at Autodesk Innovation Forum 2026 'Accelerated Bonnet Design Optimization Using ML-Driven Head Impact Simulation'. The session highlighted how -powered simulation is accelerating vehicle bonnet design while ensuring compliance with pedestrian protection requirements.

By integrating AI into Engineering workflows, we help our customers optimize designs earlier, reduce computational effort, and accelerate the path from concept to validation. This reflects IDIADA's long-standing commitment to embedding into engineering and design processes, a journey that started nearly eight years ago and has become increasingly strategic in recent years.

Diversify-CCAM al Baix Penedès: avançant cap a una mobilitat més inclusiva i connectada

El projecte europeu continua avançant per garantir que les solucions de Mobilitat Cooperativa, Connectada i Automatitzada ( ) responguin a les necessitats reals de les persones i dels territoris.
Després de la primera fase de participació al Baix Penedès, hem completat una segona iteració de recollida de dades per validar i millorar les eines desenvolupades.

🔎 Context del projecte
DIVERSIFY-CCAM és un projecte europeu amb 15 socis que treballa en diferents pilots per comprendre com la mobilitat automatitzada pot contribuir a una mobilitat més accessible, sostenible i inclusiva.

Principals avenços
Gràcies al feedback recollit, la D-Tool ha evolucionat significativament. La nova versió incorpora més dades, ofereix resultats més robustos i s'adapta millor a les necessitats dels diferents pilots europeus, inclòs el del Baix Penedès.

👉 Segona fase de participació
Els dies 30 de juny i 1 de juliol ens vam reunir amb representants del territori: diputats, alcaldes, responsables d'empreses de transport i associacions de pensionistes. Aquest col·lectiu és especialment rellevant per entendre com la mobilitat del futur pot ser més accessible i inclusiva.

Aquest és un clar exemple de com un projecte europeu genera impacte local: escoltant les necessitats del territori i incorporant-les al desenvolupament d'eines innovadores.

Al mes d'octubre se celebrarà un workshop d'stakeholders a Brussel·les on s'avaluaran els resultats del projecte.

🎓 14th Edition of the IDIADA Meet-Up
On June 10th, we opened our doors to 45 students from universities across the region at Applus+ IDIADA, in a new edition of this initiative designed to bring young talent closer to the professional world.

During the day, participants experienced IDIADA firsthand, exploring key facilities such as the Driving Simulator, the NVH semi-anechoic chamber, the new K&C lab, and the Crash Lab, where safer vehicles take shape. They also visited our Homologations area, including Connected & Automated Vehicles and Industrial Vehicles, where future mobility challenges are addressed. 🚗🔬

There, participants heard inspiring experiences from our team, such as Cristina Gras, currently a trainee who attended the previous Meet-Up, and Beatriz Malpartida, who started her journey at IDIADA as a trainee: “Just a short time ago, I was in your position. Today, I can see how my final thesis project has had a real impact on an internal project.”

A highlight of the day was the interaction with our teams. After a shared lunch, students connected with their potential departments, managers, and teammates.

At IDIADA, we believe the new generation is a key driver of innovation. Their creativity, curiosity, and energy bring fresh perspectives that help shape the future of automotive engineering.
