🎓 14th Edition of the IDIADA Meet-Up
On June 10th, we opened our doors to 45 students from universities across the region at Applus+ IDIADA, in a new edition of this initiative designed to bring young talent closer to the professional world.

During the day, participants experienced IDIADA firsthand, exploring key facilities such as the Driving Simulator, the NVH semi-anechoic chamber, the new K&C lab, and the Crash Lab, where safer vehicles take shape. They also visited our Homologations area, including Connected & Automated Vehicles and Industrial Vehicles, where future mobility challenges are addressed. 🚗🔬

There, participants heard inspiring experiences from our team, such as Cristina Gras, currently a trainee who attended the previous Meet-Up, and Beatriz Malpartida, who started her journey at IDIADA as a trainee: “Just a short time ago, I was in your position. Today, I can see how my final thesis project has had a real impact on an internal project.”

A highlight of the day was the interaction with our teams. After a shared lunch, students connected with their potential departments, managers, and teammates.

At IDIADA, we believe the new generation is a key driver of innovation. Their creativity, curiosity, and energy bring fresh perspectives that help shape the future of automotive engineering. At the same time, we are committed to providing an environment where they can learn, grow, and develop their professional careers.

🌍 At Applus+ IDIADA, staying with the company doesn't mean staying in one place
It means growing across borders, evolving as a professional, and experiencing life from a completely new perspective. Working with global clients opens doors to international opportunities—and today, three of our colleagues share what it's really like to go for it with . All three started at our HQ, but their careers took them across the world.

Jiayin Chen Su moved to Brussels and for her, the decision was clear. "I've always known IDIADA offered international working, so when the opportunity came through, there was no reason to think twice about it." "incorporating to the new environment was smoother too since you are not alone in a foreign country where everyone is, probably, a stranger to you." The experience went far beyond work: "It definitely has been an experience not only in work but also in life." Her advice? "Go for it!" ✨

Artur Garcia Gomis landed in Sweden straight from university—new job, new country, new life. "Everything was absolutely new for me, from working for the first time as an engineer to doing laundry in a language I don't even understand." What surprised him most? "We're thousands of kilometers apart, but the collaboration is constant and essential. A huge global machine with gears spread across the world." 🌐

Sergi Guarnich has been with IDIADA for 8 years and spent 2 years in the USA expanding his skills and perspective. "It's a great opportunity to expand my management skills, learn about a new culture and adapt my problem-solving techniques." The Michigan office? "Feels like a family, and I have received a lot of support from my team, managers, and colleagues on how to start building my life here." His takeaway? "It's an experience that everyone should do at least once... it will make you see the world with different eyes and with a more open mind." 💡
