Last week, we participated in the RESUSE-EUROMED 2026 workshop, focused on the use of innovative tools for irrigation management using reclaimed water.
During the event, Manuel J. González (Universidad de Sevilla) presented a study developed with SUDIPRO, an AZUD tool, focused on analyzing soil water dynamics and on the validation of this solution as a decision-support tool.
SUDIPRO allows predicting and understanding water movement below the soil surface, a process that cannot be directly observed during irrigation. By modelling the wet bulb evolution under localized irrigation, it helps optimize irrigation management and improve decision-making.
This represents a significant step forward within a collaborative project involving several institutions, including CEBAS-CSIC, highlighting the importance of cooperation between research and technology to foster more sustainable agriculture.
🌱 Moving forward towards more efficient and informed water management.
