ALLOYED VISIONS — Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition

This October, Kostin’s Lab presents ALLOYED VISIONS - an exhibition exploring how innovative alloys can shape the form, structure and meaning of contemporary jewellery and art.
The exhibition brings together five projects by Tatyana Kholodnova, Beatriz Biagi, Emilio Narducci and Inna Cheskidova. Created in collaboration with Kostin’s Lab, each project offers a distinct perspective on material, tactility, construction and artistic expression.

Featured in this post are earrings from PRISON OF LIGHT by Emilio Narducci - a collection reflecting on love, passion and mystery. Their cage-like structures both hold and protect the stones within. Under UV light, the nanosital changes from serene blue to intense purple - a transformation that, according to the story behind the collection, symbolises the presence of true love.

The earrings are made fromPurentum™ 960, Kostin’s Lab’s proprietary high-silver alloy, whose strength makes it possible to protect the delicate stones while preserving the refined structure of the design.

Across all four projects in ALLOYED VISIONS, material is not simply a technical foundation - it becomes an active part of the artistic language.

What would jewellery look like if it could escape gravity?

Inspired by cosmic phenomena and the invisible forces that shape the universe, THE ILLUSION OF ANTIGRAVITY explores weightlessness, movement, and the tension between attraction and repulsion.

The collection comprises four pieces: the SINGULARITY and THE EVENT HORIZON rings, the mismatched ATTRACTION AND REPULSION earrings, and the transformable STAR SUBLIMATION brooch-pendant.

Each jewel is built around a single continuous line that forms a complex three-dimensional structure. Although the pieces appear substantial and architectural, they remain remarkably lightweight—creating the illusion of forms suspended in space.

This balance became possible through PalladinGold™ 950, Kostin’s Lab’s proprietary palladium-based alloy containing 95% palladium. Its hardness, strength, and resistance to deformation allow delicate lines to expand into voluminous structures that seem to challenge gravity.

The collection emerged through a dialogue between artistic vision, jewellery design, and material innovation: conceived from an idea by artist-jeweller Felix Kuznetsov, designed by Tatyana Kholodnova, and realised in collaboration with Kostin’s Lab

In 2019, THE ILLUSION OF ANTIGRAVITY was recognised as a winner at Artistar Jewels 2019, celebrating its distinctive concept, innovative construction, and artistic approach to contemporary jewellery.
In this project, the material does not simply support the design—it makes the impossible form possible.

The collection will be exhibited in Buat Gallery 14-18 October.

This October, Kostin’s Lab presents ALLOYED VISIONS - an exhibition exploring how innovative materials can shape the form, structure and meaning of contemporary jewellery and art.

The exhibition brings together five projects by Tatyana Kholodnova, Beatriz Biagi, Emilio Narducci and Inna Cheskidova, created in collaboration with Kostin’s Lab. Each project reveals a distinct approach to material, tactility and artistic expression.

Featured in this post is SINGULARITY - a ring from Tatyana Kholodnova’s THE ILLUSION OF ANTIGRAVITY collection, based on an idea by artist-jeweller Felix Kuznetsov. Inspired by cosmic phenomena, its intricate three-dimensional structure is formed by a single continuous line surrounding a deep-blue nanosital gemstone.

The ring is made from PalladinGold™ 950, Kostin’s Lab’s proprietary palladium-based alloy containing 95% palladium. Its strength, hardness and resistance to deformation make the ring’s voluminous yet remarkably lightweight architecture possible.

In SINGULARITY, material does not simply support the design - it becomes part of its artistic language.

Become part of the creation of “Parasite” - a jewelry collection where thoughts take shape, texture, and scent.

We invite you to take part in a short anonymous survey (≈8-12 minutes). Your answers will directly influence the form, texture, and fragrance of the future pieces.

https://hardw0rker.github.io/parasite-jewelry/

“Parasite” is a project by Inna Cheskidova, created in collaboration with Kostin’s Lab.

Think of the survey as an opportunity to give form to your experiences - to transform something that troubles you into a tangible object that can be seen, touched, and, eventually, released.

Your experience can become an art talisman.

Take part and help us turn the invisible into something you can hold.

TOUCH - at IAW 2026 (Inflow exhibition & Conference)

We are delighted to present TOUCH, a sculptural necklace created in collaboration with designer Beatriz Biagi (Beatriz Biagi Design)

At the intersection of art, emotion, and intimate design, TOUCH is not simply an ornament. It is a sensory experience - an invitation to reconnect with the body, with perception, and with the surrounding world.

The necklace creates a subtle dialogue between the wearer and the environment. Its delicate, repeating forms extend outward from the body, transforming movement and touch into a visual language. What begins as an object becomes an intimate experience of presence and self-awareness.

TOUCH explores four dimensions of this experience:

— intimate connection
— dialogue with the environment
— self-perception and projection
— sensory and emotional resonance

The piece is crafted from PURENTUM™ 960, our innovative silver alloy, with rose-gold-plated tips. The combination of advanced material technology and sculptural design allows the necklace to exist somewhere between jewelry, object, and artwork.

TOUCH will be presented alongside Singularity from the Illusion of Antigravity collection at IAW — International Contemporary Art Jewelry Exhibition & Conference 2026, in the exhibition Narrative Space/Encounter.

A look back at INFLOW 2024

In 2024, Kostin’s Lab took part in the INFLOW exhibition together with Italian designer Emilio Narducci (Emilio Narducci), founder of MABASKO Studio.

The collaboration brought together two approaches to creation: Narducci’s exploration of form, concept and matter, and our laboratory’s research into innovative jewelry alloys.

One of the results was the "Prison of Light" ring - a jewel conceived as a symbol of Love, Passion and Mystery.

Its cage represents the dual nature of love: something precious that can be both protected and trapped. At its heart is an iridescent stone, inspired by the legend of a magical gem that changes from serene blue to intense purple in the presence of true love.

The ring is crafted with Purentum™ 960, our almost pure yet highly resistant silver alloy, chosen to protect something as fragile and precious as the stone.

INFLOW 2024 - where material, design and emotion tell personal stories.

SINGULARITY at IAW 2026

We are pleased to present Singularity, a ring from the "Illusion of Antigravity" collection, created in collaboration with jewelry designer Tatyana Kholodnova.

At its center lies a point of singularity - a concentrated point of infinite density and energy. Around it, the metal forms a kind of crown: a satellite-like structure that bends around the central point, as if caught in its gravitational field.

The collection explores the visual paradox of weight and weightlessness. Its sculptural volumes are constructed from a single continuous line, creating forms that seem to float, bend and defy gravity.

This illusion is made possible not only by design, but by material science. The structures are crafted from PalladinGold™, our high-performance palladium alloy. Its exceptional hardness allows these delicate, three-dimensional forms to retain their geometry and resist deformation - turning an apparently fragile line into a stable architectural structure.

Singularity will be exhibited at IAW — International Contemporary Art Jewelry Exhibition & Conference 2026, as part of the exhibition Narrative Space / Encounter.

PALLADINGOLD™ 950 - palladium alloy without compromise

Our PalladinGold™ 950 was developed for jewelry that demands both lasting performance and a stable appearance. Its enhanced hardness helps reduce scratching, while its naturally white color means no rhodium plating is required.

Hypoallergenic, 95% palladium, and engineered for improved mechanical properties - all in one advanced jewelry alloy.

A material designed not simply for jewelry, but to expand the possibilities of contemporary jewelry design.

What if a piece of jewellery stopped looking like a heavy physical object and seemed to exist beyond the familiar laws of gravity?

This idea became the starting point for The Illusion of Antigravity - a collaborative project by Kostin's Lab and jewellery designer Tatyana Kholodnova.

The inspiration came from the work of renowned Russian jeweller Felix Kuznetsov, particularly his piece “Crown ‘Ramses II’.” What fascinated us was the way a real, tangible object could be perceived as almost weightless, as if suspended in space.

Each piece in the collection is based on a continuous line that twists, intersects and develops into a complex three-dimensional structure. This creates a visual effect that challenges our usual perception of form and weight: the metal seems to be in motion, suspended in space without any visible support.

The collection was created using PalladinGold™ 950, diamonds, sapphires and nanosital. The exceptional hardness of the alloy, comparable to low-alloy steel, made it possible to create complex and unconventional jewellery forms while maintaining their resistance to deformation.

For us, this was an experiment at the intersection of jewellery, technology and spatial thinking - an attempt to make jewellery not simply an object, but an optical illusion.

And the experiment received international recognition: the collection won one of the three main prizes at Artistar Jewels 2019.

Sometimes, to create the sensation of weightlessness, all you need is to make material, form and perception work together in the right way.
