Every concept starts long before the first render.

Following the vision for Urban Mobility in 2040 briefing, our interns Ian González and Ricard Pérez-Sala presented their final internship projects.

Inspired by the evolution of future cities, they explored vehicle concepts that challenge conventional architectures and imagine new ways of adapting vehicles to urban environments in a more efficient way.

Fresh ideas and creative perspectives from young designers constantly inspire us to innovate and help us shape better solutions for the future. ✨

New ideas start with conversations 🚗✏️

Over the last few months, we had the opportunity to collaborate with students from the on an advanced mobility project centered around a 2040 vision.

Together, we investigated how mobility products can evolve to meet emerging societal, environmental, and technological challenges and explored the development of a family of vehicles designed for future smart city environments.

It’s always inspiring to exchange ideas, processes and different perspectives about the future of mobility with fresh eyes.

Because the next generation of designers is not here to follow trends… they’re here to redefine them! 👀

What happens to EV batteries after their first life? 🔋♻️

At EDAG ENGINEERING Spain, we are developing innovative solutions to give electric vehicle batteries a second life through smart energy storage systems.

Our project focuses on:
⚡️Integrating second-life batteries into renewable energy systems.
☁️Developing a cloud-connected EMS that adapts in real time to energy prices and weather conditions.
🔋Improving battery health assessment to extend performance and lifespan.

This initiative supports a more circular and sustainable energy model, reducing waste while helping accelerate the energy transition.
