Context is key. Generic AI tools don’t always understand the specifics of Ignition, its functions, or its languages. That’s why we’ve developed an approach that enables us to equip the AI with rules, constraints, and environment-specific knowledge.

The Hydrological year: a reference period guiding water planning in Spain.

This date marks the start of the observation period used to analyze water trends in our watersheds and prepare hydrological reports that inform the management of available resources.

The timing of this choice is no coincidence. It aligns with the transition from the low-water season to a new cycle marked by fall and winter rains. This allows for the analysis of their effects on rivers, reservoirs, and aquifers within a single period.

For decades, this technical criterion has guided hydrological planning and the design of much of the country’s water infrastructure.

El 1 de octubre comenzó un nuevo año hidrológico en España.

Esta fecha marcó el inicio del periodo de referencia utilizado para analizar la evolución del agua en nuestras cuencas y realizar los balances hidrológicos que ayudan a planificar los recursos disponibles.

La elección no es casual: coincide con el final del estiaje y el comienzo de un nuevo ciclo marcado por las lluvias de otoño e invierno, permitiendo analizar en un mismo periodo sus efectos sobre ríos, embalses y acuíferos.

𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘂 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄.

The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) has entrusted IDOM with providing technical support for developing the future urban access tolling system in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The goal is to reduce congestion on the main access routes to the capital, which handle nearly 172,000 daily trips from the metropolitan area. Over 125,000 vehicles use Moscow and Tbilisi Avenues, two of the city’s most important entry corridors.

As the technical consultant, IDOM will define the requirements for the future implementation of the system. These requirements include vehicle identification and classification, user and payment management, technological integrations, and requirements for cybersecurity, data protection, operation, and maintenance.

This initiative combines technology and planning to promote more efficient mobility on access routes to one of the Caucasus's major urban areas.

La Agencia de Transporte Terrestre de Azerbaiyán (AYNA) ha confiado a IDOM el apoyo técnico para desarrollar el futuro sistema de tarificación de acceso urbano de Bakú, la capital del país.

El objetivo es ayudar a reducir la congestión en los principales accesos a la capital, por los que circulan diariamente cerca de 172.000 desplazamientos procedentes del área metropolitana. Más de 125.000 vehículos utilizan las avenidas Moscow y Tbilisi, dos de los corredores de entrada más importantes de la ciudad.

Como consultor técnico, IDOM definirá los requisitos que servirán de base para la futura implantación del sistema, incluyendo la identificación y clasificación de vehículos, la gestión de usuarios y pagos, las integraciones tecnológicas, así como los requisitos de ciberseguridad, protección de datos, operación y mantenimiento.

Una iniciativa que combina tecnología y planificación para contribuir a una movilidad más eficiente en los accesos a una de las principales áreas urbanas del Cáucaso.

La gobernanza de datos y la inteligencia artificial fueron protagonistas de una jornada organizada por el Gobierno Regional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Arequipa, orientada a explorar cómo estas herramientas pueden contribuir a una gestión pública más eficiente, transparente y centrada en la ciudadanía.

En este espacio, Richard Luque del Carpio, IT Project Manager de IDOM Perú, compartió reflexiones sobre cómo una adecuada estrategia de gobernanza permite transformar información dispersa en conocimiento útil para la toma de decisiones, fortaleciendo la transparencia institucional y la generación de valor público.

La jornada permitió intercambiar experiencias con representantes de distintas entidades e instituciones de la región, además de abrir nuevas oportunidades para continuar impulsando conversaciones sobre transformación digital, datos e inteligencia artificial en el sector público.

Data governance and artificial intelligence were the focus of a conference organized by the Arequipa Regional Government for Science, Technology, and Innovation. The conference aimed to explore how these tools can contribute to more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered public management.

At the event, Richard Luque del Carpio, the IT project manager at IDOM Peru, shared his insights on how an effective governance strategy can transform scattered information into useful knowledge for decision-making. This process strengthens institutional transparency and generates public value.

The event was a platform for exchanging experiences with representatives from various regional organizations and institutions, and it opened new avenues for ongoing discussions about digital transformation, data, and artificial intelligence in the public sector.

We thank the Arequipa Regional Government of Science, Technology, and Innovation for promoting these types of events, which strengthen digital capabilities and encourage knowledge sharing.

✨Faro Santander has now opened its doors.

The transformation of the historic Pereda Building has given rise to a new space for art, culture, and technology in the heart of Santander.

At IDOM, we developed David Chipperfield’s design into construction and operational plans. We provided Banco Santander with support in permit processing and the construction bidding phase. Additionally, we took charge of construction supervision. IDOM also carried out the BREEAM certification, helping to bring this project, sponsored by the Banco Santander Foundation and designed by David Chipperfield Architects, to life.

Those in attendance at the inauguration included IDOM project manager, Beatriz Olalla.

On the 11th, Banco Santander organized a gathering with the project teams—an opportunity to share the results of their work and celebrate the completion of this significant project together. We at IDOM were delighted to be part of this moment and to see the building fully transformed and bustling with life.

IDOM is spearheading the upcoming transformation of Sarajevo’s tram system by designing the modernization of the Remiza depot. This depot is essential for operating and maintaining the network.

In collaboration with the local engineering firm PPG, IDOM will analyze alternatives and develop the project's preliminary design, defining the solutions needed to adapt the facilities to the current and future fleet's needs.

This project will pave the way for more efficient, safe, and sustainable public transportation by incorporating energy efficiency, climate resilience, and service continuity criteria.

Funding for the project comes from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the HIPCA program.

This contract expands IDOM’s involvement in modernizing urban mobility in Sarajevo. We are also working on extending the tram network toward Dobrinja and connecting it to Sarajevo International Airport.

IDOM lidera la próxima transformación del sistema tranviario de Sarajevo con el diseño para la modernización del depósito Remiza, una infraestructura esencial para la operación y el mantenimiento de la red.

Junto a la ingeniería local PPG, desarrollaremos el análisis de alternativas y el diseño preliminar de la actuación, definiendo las soluciones necesarias para adaptar las instalaciones a las necesidades de la flota actual y futura.

El proyecto permitirá avanzar hacia un transporte público más eficiente, seguro y sostenible, incorporando criterios de eficiencia energética, resiliencia climática y continuidad del servicio.

La actuación cuenta con financiación del Banco Europeo para la Reconstrucción y el Desarrollo (EBRD) y del programa HIPCA.

Large, lightweight roofs used in stadiums, multipurpose venues, and other spaces with long spans present some of the most complex structural engineering challenges. While their lightness and efficiency offer undeniable advantages, they also make these structures particularly susceptible to wind loads.

When these structures are too flexible, dynamic amplification phenomena can occur. In these phenomena, certain wind conditions generate vibrations that amplify the movements and stresses the roof must withstand. Understanding these phenomena and how to control them is essential for ensuring safe, efficient, and economically viable designs.

This was precisely the focus of the article "Dynamic Response of Radial and Orthogonal Cable Roof Systems: Implications for Structural Design and Erection,” which was recently presented by Andoni Borjabaz Fernandez and Iñigo Hernández at the IASS-IWSS-2026 conference in Turin.

The study compares the wind response of two types of cable-supported roofs, radial and orthogonal, to identify which is more susceptible to dynamic amplification modes. This comparison allows for characterizing the differences between the two configurations and better understanding how their structural layout influences the dynamic response.

The presentation took place at one of the most important international conferences for specialists in lightweight and long-span structures. It was organized by the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS), a world-leading organization in this field. The conference brings together researchers, designers, and professionals from around the world to share advances, exchange experiences, and discuss the challenges that will shape the future of unique structures.
