المقاولون العرب تستضيف احتفالية يوم أفريقيا بحضور ممثلي أكثر من 40 دولة أفريقية
استضافت شركة المقاولون العرب احتفالية يوم أفريقيا، بالتعاون مع جمعية رجال الأعمال المصريين الأفارقة وذلك بمقر نادي المقاولون العرب، وبحضور لفيف من السفراء الأفارقة وممثلي السلك الدبلوماسي ورجال الأعمال المصريين والأفارقة، وممثلي أكثر من 40 دولة أفريقية.
حضر الاحتفالية السفير محمد كريم شريف مساعد وزير الخارجية للشؤون الأفريقية، والسفير محمدو لابيرنج سفير جمهورية الكاميرون لدى مصر وعميد السلك الدبلوماسي الأفريقي، والمهندس محمد علوي والمهندس حسن إبراهيم عضوا مجلس إدارة شركة المقاولون العرب والدكتور يسري الشرقاوي رئيس جمعية رجال الأعمال المصريين الأفارقة، والمهندسة أماني خضير، رئيس قطاع متابعة مشروعات أفريقيا بالشركة.
وفي كلمته التي ألقاها نيابة عن المهندس أحمد العصار، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة المقاولون العرب، أكد المهندس محمد علوي عضو مجلس الإدارة اعتزاز الشركة بالمشاركة في الاحتفال بيوم أفريقيا مرحباً بضيوف الشركة الكرام، ومشيراً إلى أن الشركة ترتبط بعلاقات طويلة وممتدة مع دول القارة منذ أكثر من ستة عقود، ساهمت خلالها في تنفيذ العديد من المشروعات التنموية والاستراتيجية، بما يدعم جهود التنمية ويعزز التعاون والتكامل بين الدول الأفريقية، مؤكداً استمرار التزام الشركة بدعم مسيرة البناء والتنمية وتحقيق مستقبل أكثر ازدهاراً لشعوب القارة.
وأكد السفير محمد كريم شريف مساعد وزير الخارجية للشؤون الأفريقية، أن يوم أفريقيا يمثل مناسبة مهمة تجسد عمق الروابط التاريخية التي تجمع مصر بدول القارة، مشيرًا إلى الدور المصري الممتد في دعم العمل الأفريقي المشترك وتعزيز مسيرة الوحدة والتكامل بين الدول الأفريقية. كما أكد استمرار دعم وزارة الخارجية المصرية لجهود التعاون والتنمية المشتركة، مشيدًا بجهود السفارات الأفريقية في دعم العلاقات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية بين مصر ودول القارة.
ومن جانبه، أوضح السفير محمدو لابيرنج سفير الكاميرون، أن تحقيق التقدم في أفريقيا يرتبط بتعزيز الوحدة والتكامل بين دُولها والاعتماد على القدرات الأفريقية في تنفيذ مشروعات التنمية، مشيداً بالدور الذي تقوم به شركة المقاولون العرب في دعم جهود التنمية بالقارة، مؤكداً أنها تمثل نموذجاً ناجحاً للتعاون الأفريقي وشريكاً موثوقاً في تنفيذ مشروعات البنية التحتية والتنمية بعدد من الدول الأفريقية.
وأشار، خلال الاحتفال إلى أن شركة المقاولون العرب تُعد جزءًا أصيلًا من مسيرة التنمية بالقارة، لافتًا إلى أن اسم الشركة ظلّ حاضرًا في الوعي الأفريقي على مدار عقود، وأن إنجازاتها تمتد إلى كثير من الدول والقطاعات المختلفة.
وأوضح أن دول القارة شهدت تنفيذ العديد من المشروعات التي حملت بصمة المقاولون العرب، ما جعلها شريكًا موثوقًا في جهود البناء والتنمية، مؤكدًا أن وجود ممثلي الدول الأفريقية في الاحتفال يعكس تقديرهم للدور الذي تؤديه الشركة في خدمة القارة.
وأشاد بالشراكات التي تربط الشركة بمختلف الدول الأفريقية، واصفًا إياها بأنها من بناة أفريقيا، نظرًا لما تُقدمه من مساهمة فعالة في تنفيذ مشروعات البنية التحتية والتنمية.
ونوه بأن تجربة الكاميرون مع الشركة تؤكد قدرتها على تنفيذ المشروعات بكفاءة عالية، مشيرًا إلى أنها أثبتت، على الدوام، أنها شريك يمكن الاعتماد عليه، خاصة في المشروعات التي تتطلب خبرات فنية وتنفيذية كبيرة.
فيما أكد الدكتور يسري الشرقاوي رئيس جمعية رجال الأعمال المصريين الأفارقة أهمية تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والتكامل بين دول القارة، ودعم دور القطاع الخاص في دفع جهود التنمية والاستثمار، مشيراً إلى أن الجمعية تواصل العمل على تعزيز الشراكات الاقتصادية وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون بين مجتمعات الأعمال الأفريقية.
وعلى هامش الاحتفال تم عرض فيلماً تسجيلياً عن شركة المقاولون العرب ودورها الرائد في أفريقيا والذي استعرض مشروعات الشركة وتاريخها العريق الذي يمتد لأكثر 60 عاماً وسط إشادة من الحضور.
وفي ختام الاحتفال، كرمت شركة المقاولون العرب السفير محمد كريم شريف مساعد وزير الخارجية للشؤون الأفريقية، والسفير محمدو لابيرنج سفير جمهورية الكاميرون، والدكتور يسري الشرقاوي رئيس جمعية رجال الأعمال المصريين الأفارقة، فيما منحت جمعية رجال الأعمال المصريين الأفارقة درعها التذكاري لشركة المقاولون العرب، تقديرًا للدور البارز الذي تضطلع به في تنفيذ مشروعات التنمية والبنية التحتية بمختلف الدول الأفريقية.
*Arab Contractors Hosts Africa Day Celebration in the Presence of Representatives from more than 40 African Countries*
The Arab Contractors Company hosted Africa Day celebration, in cooperation with the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, at the Arab Contractors Sporting Club, in the presence of a group of African ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic corps, Egyptian and African businessmen, and representatives of more than 40 African countries.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Mohamed Karim Sherif - Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Dr. Mohamadou Labarang - Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to Egypt and Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, Eng. Mohamed Elwy and Eng. Hassan Ibraheem- Board Members of the Arab Contractors Company, Dr. Yosri El Sharkawy - Chairman of the Egyptian- African Businessmen Association (EABA), and Eng. Amani Khodeir -Head of Africa Projects Follow-up Sector at the Arab Contractors.
In his speech delivered on behalf of Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Mohamed Elwy – AC Board Member, affirmed the company’s pride in participating in the celebration of Africa Day, welcoming the company’s distinguished guests, and noting that the company has long and extensive relations with the countries of the continent for more than 6 decades, during which it has contributed to the implementation of many development and strategic projects, which support development efforts and enhance cooperation and integration between African countries, stressing the company’s continued commitment to supporting the path of construction and development and achieving a more prosperous future for the peoples of the continent.
Ambassador Mohamed Karim Sherif - Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs affirmed that Africa Day is a significant occasion that embodies the deep historical ties that bind Egypt to the countries of the continent. He pointed to Egypt's longstanding role in supporting joint African action and strengthening the path of unity and integration among African nations. He also emphasized the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's continued support for joint cooperation and development efforts, praising the efforts of African embassies in bolstering economic and investment relations between Egypt and the countries of the continent.
For his part, Dr. Mohamadou Labarang - Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to Egypt explained that achieving progress in Africa is linked to strengthening unity and integration among its countries and relying on African capabilities in implementing development projects. He praised the role played by the Arab Contractors Company in supporting development efforts on the continent, stressing that it represents a successful model of African cooperation and a reliable partner in implementing infrastructure and development projects in a number of African countries.
During the celebration, he pointed out that the Arab Contractors Company is an integral part of the development journey in the continent, noting that the company’s name has remained present in the African consciousness for decades, and that its achievements spanning a wide range of countries and sectors.
He explained that the countries of the continent witnessed the implementation of many projects that bore the imprint of Arab Contractors, which made it a reliable partner in construction and development efforts, stressing that the presence of representatives of African countries at the celebration reflects their appreciation for the role that the company plays in serving the continent.
He praised the partnerships that link the company with various African countries, describing it as one of the builders of Africa, given its effective contribution to the implementation of infrastructure and development projects.
He noted that Cameroon’s experience with the company confirms its ability to implement projects with high efficiency, pointing out that it has always proven to be a reliable partner, especially in projects that require significant technical and executive expertise.
Dr. Yosri El Sharkawy - Chairman of the Egyptian- African Businessmen Association (EABA) stressed the importance of strengthening economic cooperation and integration among the countries of the continent, and supporting the role of the private sector in driving development and investment efforts, noting that the association continues to work on strengthening economic partnerships and opening new horizons for cooperation among African business communities.
On the sidelines of the celebration, a documentary film about the Arab Contractors Company and its pioneering role in Africa was shown, which reviewed the company’s projects and its long history that extends for more than 60 years, amid praise from the attendees.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Arab Contractors Company honored Ambassador Mohamed Karim Sherif - Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Dr. Mohamadou Labarang - Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to Egypt, and Dr. Yosri El Sharkawy - Chairman of the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association (EABA); while the EABA presented its commemorative shield to the Arab Contractors Company, in appreciation of the prominent role it plays in implementing development and infrastructure projects in various African countries.
