Best beer collaboration ever made?🍻

and both based in San Diego, installed DALUM CO₂ Recovery Plants earlier this year.

Each brewery now recaptures its own CO₂, purifies it, and liquefies it to use again in the brewing process. Since installing their system in February, Pure Project Brewing has captured 75,000 pounds of CO₂.

To celebrate their sustainability projects, the two breweries brewed the "Closed Loops" hazy IPA together, carbonated with CO₂ recovered from their own fermentation process using their DALUM CO₂ Recovery Plants.

Kinnegar Brewing takes a new stride in sustainability with a DALUM CO₂ Recovery Plant 🤝

We're proud to announce the successful installation of a DALUM Craft CO₂ Recovery Plant a 3-ton mini bulk tank with an integrated 130kg/h vaporizer at Kinnegar Brewing, an independent brewery in the hilly fields and farms of northeast Donegal, Ireland.

Service Manager Razvan Gheorghies travelled from Denmark to commission the plant on-site.

With the new setup, Kinnegar Brewing can now:
✅ Recover and reuse their own CO₂ emissions
✅ Reduce reliance on external suppliers
✅ Secure their CO₂ supply while cutting costs

These breweries have recovered the most CO₂ with DALUM CO₂ Recovery Technology ♻️

Russian River Brewing Co: The legendary independent craft brewery in California installed three DALUM “Senior” CO₂ Recovery Plants one year ago and has recovered 300 tonnes of CO₂ in the first year alone. A true craft brewing pioneer and now the craft brewery recovering the most CO₂ with DALUM.

Thisted Bryghus: In 2023, Thisted Bryghus installed two DALUM “Craft” CO₂ Recovery Plants, using the recovered CO₂ for both beer and sodas. As production grew, so did their needs so they traded one “Craft” plant for the larger “Senior” model. Together, their plants have recovered more than 280 tonnes of CO₂.

Svaneke Bryghus: Svaneke Bryghus installed the first commercial DALUM CO₂ Recovery Plant back in 2020, when the “Craft” plant was the only model available. It has since recovered 235 tonnes of CO₂ on the Danish island of Bornholm.

All 110+ installations worldwide have a real impact in reducing CO₂ emissions. At DALUM, we are proud to support pioneers in beverage production and carbon capture.

In July, Kim Christian Dalum, Founder and CEO of DALUM Equipment and Victor Dalum visited FortisBC in British Columbia, Canada.

FortisBC delivers natural gas, electricity, propane, and renewable natural gas to 135 communities across British Columbia. FortisBC is a leader in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) with multiple sites across the province that upgrade biogas from landfills and wastewater treatment plants, as well as producing RNG from organic wastes from households, farms, and businesses.

Biogas is primarily a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. As a byproduct of upgrading methane into RNG, the process also produces high-purity biogenic carbon dioxide. Getting this carbon dioxide off-site for industrial or sequestration purposes requires liquefying it for transport.

DALUM was invited to FortisBC's Operations Centre just outside Vancouver to discuss Dalum’s liquefaction process, and was met by a highly competent team. Thank you to Joey Broda (Innovation Manager), Charles D. Casgrain (Business Development Manager), Muhammad Suria, P.Eng (Renewable Gas Engineer), and Shahrzad Talachian (Project Engineer) for a valuable and enjoyable visit, and for the hospitality.

Another DALUM CO2 Recovery Plant has left the workshop in Søndersø, Denmark for a carbon capture project 🚢

This direct air capture project required a modified DALUM Senior CO2 Recovery Plant along with a glycol chiller and CO2 storage tanks. DALUM CO2 Recovery Plants can be applied to more than the beverage industry, and the 25+ CO2 recovery plants for carbon capture projects DALUM has supplied to date is a testament to this.

Russian River Brewing Company Joins Club 300. 🎉🍻

On the one-year anniversary of installing three DALUM Senior CO₂ Recovery Plants, the legendary independent brewery has become the first brewery ever to recover more than 300 tonnes of CO₂ with DALUM CO₂ Recovery Plants.

By capturing and reusing fermentation CO₂ instead of relying on externally supplied gas, Russian River has already prevented 600 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

The system at Russian River's Windsor brewery recovers enough CO₂ to supply not only the Windsor facility but also their Santa Rosa brewery, making their production 100% CO₂ independent.
