Next phase unlocked: transforming CO₂ into food 🤓

The pioneering project to turn CO₂ into nutritious food is moving into its next stage of development – and we are proud to be part of it.

Together with Novonesis, leading universities, and other partners, the consortium is working on solutions with the potential to feed up to 1 billion people every year – at a time when 295 million people worldwide face acute hunger.

In this new phase, Topsoe will conduct life cycle assessments and test technologies to help optimize and scale the solutions that could bring this vision to life.

As Poul Georg Moses, our Chief Technology Officer, Power-to-X, puts it:
“This is a dire real-world problem we are attempting to solve for. That’s why we’re proud to be an active partner and help move forward in this promising project, where science-based solutions can ultimately mean food for more people.”
The project is funded by the Gates Foundation and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
