"BSI is delighted to be supporting the Cape31 Europeans 2025," says Mark Barwell, CCO for the BSI Marine Equipment Group. "The BSI Marine Group owns several marine brands and two of our most successful, BSI Rigging and Gori Propeller, are used on every Cape 31, helping maximise performance on this high-speed Mills Design".
Launched in 2017, the Cape 31 has rapidly become one of the world's most exciting one-design racing classes. To date, 87 boats have been built, with fleets thriving across multiple continents. In 2025, 25 teams representing 13 nations will gather in Palma to compete for the title of European Champion, a true celebration of international sailing and high-performance design.
As OEM suppliers of the standing rigging and propeller, both play vital roles in ensuring the Cape 31 delivers exceptional speed, low drag and reliability. Below the waterline, the GORI Propeller 2-Blade Propeller provides outstanding efficiency and minimal drag, trusted not only by the Cape 31 but also by IMOCA and ULTIMยฎ fleets. Above deck, BSI Rigging offers a complete standing rigging package designed for strength, adjustability, and precision tuning.
Fair winds to all crews racing for the European Championships from 16 to 19 October in Palma.
