Yesterday Bawat announced the first half-year report, which represents the first financial update to the Stock Exchange since the company was listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in Stockholm in March 2022.

Marcus Peter Hummer, CEO comments on the developments in the first half: “We are pleased to report that order intake has developed positively in the first half year, and we are experiencing good commercial development in all three business legs. It is comforting to witness a continued increasing interest in our patented sustainable heat-based ballast water treatment system – both for our existing on-board vessel solution, but also for our mobile port-side solution and service offering.

We will continue to build out our global presence, which was one of the main purposes of raising capital through our successful IPO earlier this year. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to our more than seven hundred new and existing shareholders for investing in the future of BAWAT”.

Bawat and partners - Bawat Technology Services and Freedom Ballast are happy to announce ex*****on of the very first US port 3rd Party Ballast Water Treatment as a Service (T-a-a-S) project in June this year. Using a mobile, containerized, BWTS from Bawat the job was performed with a customer in Louisiana for multiple vessels.

Bawat’s BWMS has a very suitable profile for container ships because container ships have a high-powered main engine and the amount of ballast water that needs to be exchanged is relatively small.

The Bawat system is designed to fulfil the actual needs for treatment of ballast water resulting in a small footprint. The utilization of waste heat to drive the BWMS, no filters and no consumables makes OPEX for ship owners negligible.

Today is World Oceans Day, the United Nations day for celebrating the role of the oceans in our everyday life and inspiring action to protect the ocean and sustainably use marine resources.

The theme for World Ocean Day 2022 is “Revitalisation: Collective Action for the Ocean” From rising pollution, acidification of ocean water, rising average temperatures, to a reduction in ocean biodiversity. Through spreading awareness, World Ocean Day hopes to protect the Earth's major water bodies.
