The Faroe Islands have written a new chapter in their handball history. For the very first time, they are ready for the 2027 World Championship!

They secured their historic spot after beating Bosnia-Herzegovina twice. First with a 24-22 win away, and then a fantastic 33-28 victory at home.

A truly historic achievement for Faroese handball! As a partner for the National Team, we are proud to be on this journey with them! 🤾‍♂️

Match ball innovation for the DFB CUP Final 2026! ⚽

DERBYSTAR by SELECT, and the German Football Association (DFB) present the official match ball for the 2026 men’s DFB-Pokal Final.

For the first time ever in a German professional football competition, an official match ball with integrated sensor technology will be used when FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart face each other in the final on May 23, 2026 at Berlin’s Olympiastadion. 🏆

The iBall is equipped with Connected Ball Technology, provided in cooperation with KINEXON. A sensor integrated into the ball captures highly precise, real-time data on ball contacts, speed, trajectory and rotation – without affecting the weight, flight characteristics, bounce or overall performance of the match ball. 🛠️
