The BubbleDeck concept is the core technology of the Group. We continue to develop state-of-the-art quality solutions, optimising the possibilities in construction. And on the bottom line, economic savings. The Company, BubbleDeck International A/S, has its

origin in the development of optimal, sustainable and resource saving constructions. The founder, Jørgen Breuning, has always focused in special constructions, in particular shell constructions. Since the 1950ies where hollow core, one-way span, was introduced, no major development had occurred. This intrigued Jørgen Breuning to invent the patented BubbleDeck® Technology in the 90'ies. The first projects were made in Germany in 1996, and the commercial success began in 1999 with projects in Holland (e.g. Millennium Tower) winning several awards. Group Structure

World’s largest span ratio

The BubbleDeck technology provides an excellent tool for creating long spans. It provides the World’s highest Span-to-depth ratio of any flat slab. The BubbleDeck system can be designed optimally with or without the use of PT.
An example of a high Span-to-depth ratio using the BubbleDeck technology is a large office complex, where a flat 450 mm slab (BD450) spans 22.5 m, a span-to-depth ratio of 50 using standard office loads (no post-tension, no beams and no drop-down capitals). This span is even more remarkable considering neighboring bays are only 7.5 m thereby limiting counterweight / transfer of slab moment.

Even higher Span-to-depth ratios can be achieved using PT cables, effectively placed in prearranged lines between voids. Due to the relatively thick slab compared to its mass, the effect of using PT cables is higher than for traditional solid slab.

Being a biaxial monolithic flat slab, without restrictions due to beams, the BubbleDeck system further enhance the possibilities of creating large cantilevers and free choice of shape.
