Because our customers care deeply about one thing: knowing their coated film thickness and homogeneity. That's exactly what THz scanning enables — measuring deposited thickness and verifying coating quality, non-destructively.

Applied Material Intelligence (AMI) is a Danish deep-tech startup developing non-destructive measurement and quality control using non-ionizing terahertz radiation. They've just launched their first compact THz scanner, Chameleon.

FOM and AMI are now partners on the project application THzR2R, where we plan to develop and test a scanner for 𝐢𝐧-𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 of film quality in slot-die roll-to-roll coating.

Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Battery Manufacturing Excellence Platform (Battery MXP) is being integrated into the Alabama Mobility and Power (AMP) Center’s battery research lab at the University of Alabama.

At the AMP Center, Honeywell is also working with FOM Technologies to optimize the electrode production process within Battery MXP. Since this process is traditionally one of the most challenging areas of battery manufacturing process, the collaborative approach with all three parties will enable the facility to deliver an end-to-end automation solution that will help OEMs produce safer batteries for end users. 🔋⚡
