What is bowel irrigation?🤔

Training is underway for Cykelnerven, Denmark’s toughest charity cycling event! 🚴‍♀️

We received the latest training update photos from Mads this week!

He is part of the 500+ riders, all taking on Tour de France climbs to raise funds and awareness for the Danish MS Association and MS research.

We will keep you up to date with their progress this June!

Approximately half of all people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) are expected to encounter some type of bowel issue during their lifetime.

At Qufora, our goal is to make life easier for those dealing with bowel problems.

So, this World MS Day, we're proud to support a cause close to our hearts. We're sponsoring Cykelnerven - Denmark's most unique and demanding charity cycling event, tackling the toughest climbs from the Tour de France.

This event brings together 546 riders across 12 teams, all pushing their limits not just for the ride but also to raise awareness and vital funds for the Danish MS Association (Scleroseforeningen) and its research into MS.

We recently spoke with Ditte and Mads, who are cycling in this year's race and asked them what the most important thing is to them about taking part in Cykelnerven.

1️⃣ Get Familiar: Before you start using your Qufora IrriSedo product, take some time to familiarise yourself with it. Fill it with water and go through the step-by-step instructions. This helps you understand what to expect during the irrigation process.

2️⃣ Establish a Routine: Your bowel may need some time to adjust to irrigation. Many healthcare professionals recommend irrigating daily for the first three months. Whether you're dealing with constipation or faecal incontinence, a consistent routine can make a big difference. Always follow your healthcare professional's advice on this.

3️⃣ Right Amount of Water: The volume of water used during irrigation can vary from person to person and depends on your specific bowel condition and the type of irrigation product you're using. Use only the amount of water your healthcare professional recommends to ensure safe and effective irrigation.

4️⃣ Stay Hydrated: Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking the amount of water your healthcare professional advises. Proper hydration is essential, as inadequate water intake could lead to the water used during irrigation being absorbed by your bowel.
