Two engineers. Same project in France. Same start date on the plan.

One was ready in a week.

The other took 90 days.

The difference was not skill, paperwork or willingness. It was an appointment queue at an embassy in Manila.

Nationality decides how fast a person can legally stand on your site. It rarely shows up in the project schedule, and it almost never shows up early enough.

Two days in Copenhagen. Three offices in one place.

Day to day, the PS Engineering team is spread across Aalborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen. So when we finally get everyone in the same room, we make it count 💪

We kicked things off with lunch in Kødbyen 🍽️

Then it was time for strategy, in a meeting room called Jagtstuen, "the Hunting Room". It looked exactly as you would imagine 🦌

In the afternoon, we swapped the meeting room for the canals with GoBoat 🚤 And our colleagues from Aalborg and Aarhus got to see Copenhagen from the water side.

19 degrees. Clear skies ☀️
Booked two months in advance. Of course.

We rounded off the day at Darling Bistro & Bar near Gammel Strand.
Good food, good w**e and the kind of mood that only comes after a full day of fresh air.

For us, strategy days are about much more than business.
When you know each other, you work better together. Across offices and cities.

Everything is installed. The schedule says handover is close.

Then someone has to prove it actually works.

That is commissioning.

Not a formality. Not just a box to tick before handover. It is the phase where you find out whether months of parallel work actually fit together.

And it lands at the exact moment the schedule is tightest and everyone is very keen to be finished.

Which is why small errors get expensive here.

Two weeks notice to put a commissioning engineer on a boiler island in France.

Done. ✅

Our longstanding client was delivering a brand new boiler island for a major biomass power plant.

Cold commissioning had to start fast. The engineer needed specific automation and instrumentation expertise. On site in two weeks.
