The ambience, the atmosphere, the aura of the place: each person has specific notions in mind. However, this dream is for many people a lifelong yearning– an objective, unattainable, tinged with melancholy or with little hope of fulfilment. In contrast, others do not feel that a permanent home address is so important. For them, ‘the journey is the reward’, and home is the people they live with and place where they feel most comfortable at any given moment. In this case, the actual accommodation plays a subordinate role. Looking back at ARCHITECT@WORK Vienna 2022, the strength of the format becomes clear: innovation is not only displayed, it is discussed.

In a curated setting for architects, interior designers and specifiers, materials can be experienced up close, surfaces can be compared and façade ideas can be explored directly in conversation.

For ALUCOBOND®, the last edition in Vienna was all about focused exchange with the architecture community – together with our partner Amari Austria – about material expression, application possibilities and the role of the building envelope in contemporary design.

In 2026, we are looking forward to continuing this dialogue under the theme TRANSFORMATION. 🦋

Zwischen Wasser, Stadt und direktem Dialog zeigen die Eindrücke aus 2025, was die Rivercruise besonders macht: ein Format, das Architekturszene und Bauindustrie in außergewöhnlicher Atmosphäre zusammenbringt.

An Bord eines exklusiven Design-Schiffes präsentieren rund 70 Aussteller ihre neuesten Produkte, Technologien und Designs. So entsteht ein Umfeld, in dem Materialien nicht nur gezeigt, sondern im Kontext von Planung und Anwendung diskutiert werden.

Für ALUCOBOND® war die Rivercruise im vergangenen Jahr genau dafür ein besonderer Rahmen: nah am Material, nah an den Fragen der Architekturszene und offen für neue Impulse rund um die Gebäudehülle.

Fantastic reflections ✨

Reflection can soften architecture, dissolve boundaries and change the way a building is perceived.

With reflective surfaces, façades no longer appear static. They respond to light, mirror their surroundings and create shifting impressions throughout the day. Sky, trees and movement become part of the architectural expression, making the material feel lighter, quieter and almost immaterial.

This effect can be seen at the West Limerick Children’s Centre, where ALUCOBOND® naturAL Reflect transforms the building envelope into an ever-changing interaction between material and surroundings. A day of exchange, insights and new perspectives 💛

Together with our colleagues from the 3A Composites Display Europe team, we had the pleasure of welcoming our partners from Notz Plastics AG and Neomat AG from Switzerland for a day of exchange, insights and inspiration across both our business areas.

From product updates and inspiring discussions to a plant tour, insights into our coating laboratory and a hands-on session in the Technicum – the day offered plenty of opportunities to explore, learn and exchange ideas across both business areas.

But beyond the agenda, it was the personal exchange that made the day truly valuable. Bringing different perspectives together creates new ideas, strengthens partnerships and opens up exciting opportunities for the future.

A big thank you to everyone from Notz Plastics AG and Neomat AG for visiting us – and to all colleagues from ALUCOBOND Europe and 3A Composites Display Europe who made this joint event possible! 🤝🚀

From delicate pattern to façade grid 🦋

A ribbon in Silver Metallic 🎀

Set above the Neckar valley in Ingersheim, Germany, Villa Trefz is shaped by a clear design idea: a metal ribbon that climbs up the slope and wraps around the building’s functional areas.

Realised with ALUCOBOND® from the metallic colour series in Silver Metallic (500), the façade changes with the light throughout the day. It reflects the surrounding landscape, translates sunlight into a subtle metallic glow and shifts between blending in and standing out.

The silver tone reinforces the ribbon-like form without overpowering the architecture. It gives the private house a restrained yet distinctive presence while keeping the façade visually alive.

A project where colour, light and landscape become part of the architectural concept. 💫
