If you’re still hand-carrying parts from lathe to mill just to finish a few critical faces, you’re giving away spindle time. The SL 2500SY series from @‌SMEC Maschine Tools Europe is built to keep those parts on one machine, from first cut to last. ⚙️

The SL 2500SY is a horizontal turning center with main and sub spindle, Y‑axis and a milling-capable BMT65 turret. In practice, that means you can turn, mill and complete back‑working in a single clamping, instead of moving parts across the shop floor.

From the start, the machine comes with main and sub spindle chucks, coolant enclosure, programmable tailstock, lubrication system and a ready‑to‑use tooling starter package. The goal: less time building the basic setup, more time actually machining. ↗️

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Technical Seminar & Business Roadshow in Frankfurt, Germany! As a core part of SMEC’s 'Technical Seminar World Tour,' this event marked a significant milestone in expanding our global footprint and strengthening our technical partnerships across Europe.

We were honored to host 42 key dealer representatives from 14 European countries, including Germany, Italy, France, and the UK.

SIMTOS 2026 is a wrap — and what an incredible week it has been. 🤝

As part of the global SMEC family, we were proud to stand alongside our colleagues in Korea as they showcased the full breadth of SMEC innovation to visitors from all over the world. 🌏

First, our In‑House Event in Gimhae opened the doors to SMEC’s production and R&D facilities. Live machining, engineering insights, and countless conversations made it one of the most engaging moments of the entire week. 🏭

Across the next five days at KINTEX, visitors showed strong interest in our 21 machines, confirming once again how SMEC’s commitment to reliability, accuracy, and real‑world performance resonates across the industry.

A big thank you to everyone who visited, shared feedback, exchanged ideas, and helped make this week such a success.

Today, SIMTOS 2026 opens its doors — and as part of the global SMEC family, we are proud to support our colleagues in Korea as they showcase the very best of SMEC engineering.

Until Friday, we will present 21 machines, representing the full strength of our machining and turning portfolio, including:

🔹 MVF 5000: A 5‑axis machining center built for complex geometries and stable precision.

🔹 NS 1600T2Y2: Parallel machining with twin spindles and twin turrets — all in one setup.

Paris – world-famous for the stunning Arc de Triomphe, the magnificent Notre Dame and, of course, the iconic Eiffel Tower. But at the end of March, the industrial sector found itself in a whole new world: at Global Industrie 2026. 👀

Our colleagues were also right in the thick of things, supporting our partner TRANSTEC MACHINES OUTILS, who really stole the show with the presentation about SL2500BY.

The heavy-duty, ultra precision Turning Center got a lot of attention thanks to its highly reliable and robust construction. The hydraulic valve gauge and control valve are raised to the operator's height, making maintenance easier.

It's a great combo for any manufacturer looking to get the job done comfortably.
