From November 11 to 12 NextTruck puts truck charging in the spotlight. The logistics sector has a major role to play in accelerating the electrification of transport. At the same time planning charging stops remains a challenge. For logistic operators every minute a truck is off the road comes at a cost.

Trucks are constantly on the move, which makes fast-charging solutions at their own depots essential. Charging can take place while trucks are being loaded, integrating the process seamlessly into existing workflows and keeping downtime to a minimum. But installing high-power charging infrastructure on-site isn’t always possible. In many cases the available grid capacity simply isn’t sufficient.

That’s where we come in. At NextTruck in Berlin, we’ll be showcasing our solution for exactly this challenge: battery-buffered charging technology that enables high-power charging even where grid capacity is limited.

“Seeing a ChargePost featuring the VfB crest outside the club center makes us proud, and is particularly special for us as a company from the region,” says Thomas Speidel, CEO of ADS-TEC Energy.

EV-Drivers can now charge at up to 250 kW across two public charging points right next to the VfB Stuttgart 1893 club center in Stuttgart, Germany. ⚽🔌Today Stadtwerke Stuttgart has commissioned an ADS-TEC Energy ChargePost system at public parking lot P3 on Mercedesstraße. This marks another successful project with SWS, following the launch of the fast-charging hub in Zuffenhausen, where four ChargePost systems were installed directly on the low-voltage grid, providing a total of eight fast-charging points.

At this location, too, the main challenge was the lack of sufficient grid capacity for fast charging. As Thomas Speidel explains, this project is a prime example of how our battery-buffered technology can boost available grid power to deliver high-performance charging. Our technology enables fast charging in locations where it would otherwise not have been possible, while opening up additional revenue streams and communication opportunities. The two 75-inch displays can be used for digital out-of-home advertising or to share information and updates related to the club center.

From 50 kW of grid power to up to 280 kW of charging power. 🚗🔌Stadtwerke Würzburg has commissioned a ChargePost at the Seniorenresidenz Kist care home in Kist, Germany. Thanks to our battery-buffered fast-charging solution they could expand the site from two to four fast-charging points. Without this solution, expanding the charging infrastructure would have required extensive construction work and additional investment. With its integrated 201 kWh battery storage system, ChargePost makes it possible to deliver up to 280 kW of charging power to a vehicle while requiring just 50 kW from the grid in this case.

“We want to explore new approaches and test innovative technologies as we expand our charging infrastructure. The battery-buffered charger in Kist demonstrates how we can expand existing sites despite limited grid capacity, while gaining valuable experience for future projects,” says Bernd Hammer, Head of Telecommunications and Traffic Engineering at WVV Energie.

Supermärkte, Drogerien oder auch Baumärkte können deshalb zu wichtigen Standorten für Schnellladeinfrastruktur werden. Die Standorte sind bereits Teil des Alltags, die Anfahrt ist nötig und die Einkaufszeit passt perfekt zur Dauer des benötigten Ladevorgangs.

Electric trucks need powerful fast-charging infrastructure. 🔌🚚
For the first time, we are at the IAA TRANSPORTATION in Hannover, Germany, presenting our solutions for truck and depot charging. You’ll find us at the E.ON Drive booth, hall 19/20.

When it comes to electrfying your fleet, there’s more to consider than just the vehicles itself. Charging profiles, locations and costs all play a role. What does each charging session cost my fleet? Do I rely on public infrastructure or can I use standing times in the depot?

Both the power demand of the vehicles and the speed of the charging process become critical, particularly when the existing grid has limited capacity. Because when trucks are not moving, costs start to add up.

🌍News from Germany🌍 Nordrhein-Westfalen fördert Aufbau von Schnellladeinfrastruktur. 🔌🚗

Die aktuelle Förderung richtet sich an kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen in der Logistikwirtschaft und je nach Projekt sind bis zu 30.000 € Förderung je Ladepunkt möglich. Insbesondere im Straßengüterverkehr und in Depots von Unternehmen müssen Ladeprozesse zuverlässig in bestehende Abläufe integriert werden und in kurzer Zeit erfolgen. Schnellladeinfrastruktur ist daher entscheidend, jedoch wird der Netzanschluss häufig zum Engpass. Mit unseren batteriegepufferten Schnellladelösungen lassen sich Ladeleistungen von bis zu 320 kW selbst an Standorten mit begrenzter Netzanschlussleistung realisieren.

Der aktuelle Förderaufruf läuft und ein Antrag kann laufend gestellt werden, solange Haushaltsmittel verfügbar sind. Schnell sein lohnt sich!

One BESS installation after another. 🏗️🔋Our summer at ADS-TEC Energy has been packed with BESS projects. Last week we completed the installation of a system für Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg-Kornwestheim (SWLB).

With 5 MWh of energy capacity the BESS5000 supports the integration of renewable energy and increases flexibility in the local distribution grid. It also enables grid-supporting application and opens up new opportunities in energy markets. The battery storage system was being installed at SWLB’s biomass-fired combined heat and power plant in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

Going forward the BESS5000 will primarily be used for peak shaving, storing surplus energy, relieving the distribution grid and participating in energy markets

For us this project is another important milestone in our collaboration with municipal utilities. They need reliable solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into existing grid infrastructure while also enabling economically viable operation. A big thank you to all partners for the continued and successful collaboration.

🌍News from Germany🌍Bayern fördert nicht-öffentliche Schnellladeinfrastruktur.🔋🔌

Unternehmen mit Sitz in Bayern können nun geförderte Schnellladeinfrastruktur am eigenen Standort realisieren. Der Freistaat Bayern fördert 2026 den Aufbau nicht-öffentlicher DC-Schnellladeinfrastruktur für den Straßengüterverkehr. Für DC Ladepunkte mit 250 kW bis unter 600 kW sind dabei bis zu 20.000 Euro Förderung pro Ladepunkt möglich.

Mit den batteriegepufferten Schnellladelösungen von ADS-TEC Energy lassen sich auch an Standorten mit begrenzter Netzanschlussleistung leistungsstarke Ladepunkte realisieren – mit Ladeleistungen von bis zu 320 kW, ohne aufwändigen und kostenintensiven Netzausbau.

⏱️Schnell sein lohnt sich: Anträge können vom 14. September 2026, 10 Uhr bis 16. Oktober 2026, 16 Uhr eingereicht werden.
