Qorix is a member of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The company develops middleware solutions for software-defined vehicles and wants to contribute its technological expertise to the professional work of the association.

Who will own the future SDV software stack?

That's one of the questions on the table next week in Brussels.

At the 3rd SDV Convergence Conference, our CEO Markus Schupfner moderates Session 1 - bringing together Eclipse S-CORE, Android/AAOS, Google Horizon-SDV and NVIDIA AlpaMayo at one table. The goal: understand how these platforms can complement each other, not compete.

Three questions will shape the discussion:

🔹Will SDV evolve into truly open industry platforms or into a small number of semi-open vendor ecosystems?
🔹Who controls the strategic software layer of the vehicle: OEMs, open ecosystems, or technology platform companies?
🔹Can automotive software engineering evolve toward cloud-style development or will vehicle complexity continue to slow scalability?

These are not theoretical questions. They define what the SDV stack looks like by 2030.

Open source does not equal production-readiness.

Can you trace every test in your middleware stack back to its requirement?

If not, you are not ready for series production.

With Eclipse S-CORE 0.7, key improvements in this area are now in place: integration tests link directly to requirements, docs-as-code tooling scans artifacts across modules, and traceability links point to the correct version.

These changes sound incremental. But they are exactly what separates a proof of concept from a certifiable middleware platform.

🚀 Some teams spend years getting certified. Our India team did it in less than one.

Less than a year ago, we opened our doors in Pune and Bangalore. Today, Qorix India Private Limited holds two international certifications: ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for information security – both certified by TÜV Nord in April 2026, covering both locations.

Open source middleware is only as strong as the engineering discipline behind it.

Eclipse S-CORE 0.7 is here. At Qorix, we focused on three key contributions in this release:

🔹 Architectural clarity: S-CORE is now defined as a continuously consistent stack, not a loose collection of independent modules. This gives OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers a reliable, aligned foundation for their SDV programs.
🔹 Testing maturity: Traceability between integration tests and requirements is now established. This is the foundation for certifiability.
🔹 Rust for safety-critical systems: Rust is approved for ASIL-B components in S-CORE 1.0, following a structured evaluation within the community.
