Suuapinga Family

Meet Timur – our head roaster, originally from the Ural region of Russia, and working in coffee for over a decade. After moving to Munich a few years ago, he joined Suuapinga and quickly became part of the team.

With a background in coffee competitions, Timur has been shaping his approach to coffee for years. For him, a good cup is never an accident – it’s the result of many people along the chain, often far apart, but connected by shared values and a shared goal.

He started behind the bar and, over time, took on more responsibility – always focused on refining the details. Today, he leads our roasting.

His favourite pairing? Filter coffee and a Cardamom Bun – a combination that just works.

What he values most about Suuapinga is the diversity of the team. Different backgrounds, different perspectives – coming together in one place, much like coffee itself.

Outside of work, Timur spends his time outdoors – running, cycling along the Isar or heading into the Alps. And when it comes to a place that defines him? There isn’t just one.

We’re glad you found your way to us.

Suuapinga Family

Meet Álvaro – born and raised in Santiago de Chile and part of the Suuapinga team since 2024. After realising he needed a big change away from corporate work, he moved to Germany and started exploring the city through coffee. That search led him to Suuapinga – and the people here made him feel at home right away.

Today, Álvaro is part of our logistics team. His days usually start with a coffee, planning the route ahead, loading everything our cafés need and making sure it all arrives where it should. What matters most to him is creating a friendly, respectful atmosphere – with colleagues and guests alike.

For Álvaro, good coffee should always be enjoyable. He loves variety, but consistency is key – especially when it comes to a well-balanced espresso. Depending on the day, his favourite drink might be a filter coffee or a classic cappuccino.

What makes Suuapinga special to him is the sense of community. The short moments when shifts overlap, everyone meeting at the bar, sharing a few words about work or life – those are the moments he values most.

Outside of Suuapinga, music plays a big role in Álvaro’s life. He loves playing guitar and singing, staying active through sports, bouldering, cycling, long hikes and trail running. A place close to his heart is Cerro San Cristóbal in Santiago – filled with memories from different stages of his life.
