Orange cake, made together. 🍊

We use the zest of our oranges for drinks at the café, and instead of letting the peeled fruit go to waste, we send it back to our SUUAPINGA BAKERY.

Our team there turns it into orange paste and juice for this cake – vegan, fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside, with fresh orange slices on top.

Simple, a little citrusy, and very good with a cup of coffee.

Five years of Suuapinga.

Sourced from the volcanic slopes of Mount Ijen in East Java, Indonesia, this naturally processed lot is produced by Kevenka - Indonesian Specialty Coffee Processor & Exporter , a project founded by brothers Kevin and Kenny Soewondo. Working closely with around 500 smallholder farmers, they combine thoughtful processing with a deep respect for the character of their origin.

In the cup, expect vibrant notes of plum and orange, layered with nutmeg and vanilla, finishing with a rich dark chocolate sweetness.

Created to celebrate the past five years and everyone who has been part of our journey. And if you look closely at the packaging, you might spot a few familiar names. 👀

Seasonal Iced Specials. ☀️🧊

The heatwave made one thing clear: iced coffee season is in full swing.

If you haven’t tried our seasonal iced menu yet, now’s the time. Alongside our Cold Brew, you’ll find one of this summer’s favourites: Cascara – served over ice or with tonic water. Brewed from the dried fruit of the coffee cherry, it’s light, fruity and incredibly refreshing.

Also new to the menu is our homemade Seasonal Soda. This edition combines orange, rosemary and cardamom – bright, aromatic and just a little unexpected.

And because every iced drink deserves a little more room, we’re now serving them in our new 350ml glasses. Our 200ml glasses are still here too – now reserved for complimentary tap water.

5 years of Suuapinga.

The first photo was taken exactly 5 years ago when we first opened the doors at Herzogstraße. The second one below is from today. Same spot, same three guys, and lots of memories ever since.

To celebrate, Lucas, Pete & Emi will be behind the counter all day at Herzogstraße, making coffee, playing tunes and soaking up all the good vibes with you.

5 years of Suuapinga.

What started as a small idea in our very first shop has grown into something we could have never imagined – and none of it would’ve been possible without the people around us.

To our friends & family, our incredible team, partners, guests, and everyone who has been part of this journey over the last five years: thank you for believing in us, supporting us, growing with us, and sharing so many moments along the way.
Suuapinga has always been more than coffee to us – it’s about community, connection, and the people who walk through our doors every day.

Suuapinga Family

Julia was born and raised in Ukraine, not far from the city of Kharkiv. Before moving to Munich, she had already spent more than seven years working in coffee – something you immediately notice when watching her behind the bar.

What she loves most about coffee is the connection between precision and care. For Julia, latte art is more than just a detail – she enjoys the small moments when guests receive their cappuccino and smile. Bringing order, coziness, and lots of plants into her workspace is just as important to her as making a good espresso.

Her day usually starts with a fruity espresso and an oat milk cappuccino. At home, she enjoys brewing coffee with a V60.

What she appreciates most about Suuapinga is the warm and supportive team and the freedom to express her creativity. Over time, many colleagues have also become close friends.

Outside of work, Julia spends a lot of time with her dog, goes hiking, travels, and enjoys active sports like bouldering and snowboarding.

Starting in June, she will take on the role of Managing Barista at our Wiener Platz Café.

We are really happy to have you with us, Julia.
