We are delighted to welcome our new apprentices at our St. Egidien site: Seven new apprentices began their apprenticeships with us at the start of August, marking the start of a new chapter in their lives.

Following their first day, which was dedicated to getting to know one another, our new apprentices visited various departments, gaining a comprehensive insight into the different areas of our company.

In the process, they were able to see how the individual departments work together and how our value chain works, from the initial processes right through to the finished product. At the same time, they became familiar with a site that possesses particular technological expertise within ACPS Automotive: St. Egidien is our specialist in all-electric retractable towbar systems.

Wir freuen uns sehr, unsere neuen Auszubildenden an unserem Standort St. Egidien begrüßen zu dürfen: Anfang August haben sieben neue Auszubildende ihre Ausbildung bei uns begonnen und damit einen neuen Lebensabschnitt gestartet.

Nach ihrem ersten Tag, der ganz im Zeichen des gegenseitigen Kennenlernens stand, besuchten unsere neuen Auszubildenden verschiedene Abteilungen und erhielten so einen umfassenden Einblick in die unterschiedlichen Bereiche unseres Unternehmens.

Dabei konnten sie erleben, wie die einzelnen Abteilungen zusammenarbeiten und wie unsere Wertschöpfungskette von den ersten Prozessen bis hin zum fertigen Produkt funktioniert. Gleichzeitig lernten sie einen Standort kennen, der innerhalb von ACPS Automotive über besondere technologische Expertise verfügt: St. Egidien ist unser Spezialist für vollelektrisch schwenkbare Anhängevorrichtungssysteme.

A towbar may look like nothing more than just a small detail on the vehicle. In development, however, it is much more than that: it must be compatible with the vehicle’s structure, its electronics, its operating logic, its design, its load requirements and its usage scenarios.

Ein unterhaltsamer, spannender und praxisnaher Blick in den Werkstattalltag: Schrauberblog hat unsere vollelektrisch schwenkbare Anhängerkupplung ORIS_E3 an einem BMW 3er Touring G21 nachgerüstet.

Im Video zeigt das Team Schritt für Schritt, wie die Montage in der Praxis abläuft – von der Vorbereitung über den mechanischen Einbau bis zur elektrischen Integration.

An entertaining, exciting and hands-on look at towbar retrofitting in everyday workshop practice: , one of the leading social media channels for workshop insights and practical automotive content in the German-speaking aftermarket, has installed our all-electric retractable towbar ORIS_E3 on a BMW 3 Series Touring G21.

In the video, the Schrauberblog team shows step by step how the installation works in practice – from preparation and mechanical fitting to electrical integration.

The project also highlights an important point for the workshop business: according to Schrauberblog, towbar retrofitting can be an attractive add-on business for workshops. It creates additional revenue potential, helps utilize workshop capacity and offers real added value for customers with transport, leisure or bike carrier needs.

Our colleagues at our headquarters in Ingersheim recently came together for the summer party. It was a great opportunity to spend time together away from the daily routine, with games and team activities including table tennis, giant Connect Four and giant Jenga.

ACPS Automotive CEO Michael Weiss also took the opportunity to thank the entire team for their strong performance and their contribution to the company’s success. He also congratulated our newly qualified apprentices on successfully completing their training.

First to market: ORIS towing solutions for the Volvo EX90!

ORIS is expanding its aftermarket portfolio with two new towing solutions for the all-electric Volvo EX90: the AK41 FIX4BIKE® detachable system and a fixed towbar. As first to market, ORIS gives workshops and distributors early access to dedicated towing solutions for Volvo’s electric flagship SUV.

The AK41 FIX4BIKE® combines a detachable towbar with the FIX4BIKE® interface setting a particularly high standard for the use of bike carriers: Unlike conventional carrier systems that need to be aligned and clamped onto the towball, FIX4BIKE® uses two dedicated pins on the towbar neck. Compatible FIX4BIKE® bike carriers are simply positioned above the towball and lowered until they automatically lock into place with an audible click. This makes installation exceptionally easy: the carrier is automatically aligned and requires no readjustment.

For customers looking for a permanently available towing solution, ORIS also offers a robust Fixed towbar for the Volvo EX90.

Whatever the preferred towing solution, ORIS provides a complete and vehicle-specific solution for the Volvo EX90: Both towbar versions are also available as an ORIS DUO package, combining the respective towbar with the matching vehicle-specific 13-pin electrical kit. This simplifies component selection for distributors and workshops and makes ordering particularly convenient.

Die AK41 FIX4BIKE® kombiniert die abnehmbare Anhängerkupplung mit FIX4BIKE®-Funktionalität und setzt damit einen besonders hohen Standard für die Nutzung von Fahrradträgern: Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Trägersystemen, die auf die Kupplungskugel ausgerichtet und dort geklemmt werden müssen, nutzt FIX4BIKE® zwei spezielle seitliche Pins unterhalb des Kugelkopfes. Kompatible FIX4BIKE®-Fahrradträger werden einfach über der Kupplungskugel positioniert und abgesenkt, bis sie mit einem hörbaren Klicken automatisch einrasten. One team, one goal, one approach: ACPS Automotive Mexico has launched "ACPS Automotive One Voice", a new integration and culture programme designed to strengthen collaboration, communication and teamwork across all areas of the company.

The first sessions focused on one of our core values: team spirit. Through interactive exercises, team challenges and open discussions, participants explored how commitment, trust and mutual support contribute to successful collaboration and a strong company culture.

Thank you to the first groups for their enthusiasm and active participation. More colleagues will soon join the programme and contribute their perspectives.

New ORIS towbars for Ford Explorer and Ford Puma Gen-E.

ACPS Automotive is expanding the ORIS Aftermarket programme with new vehicle-specific towbars for current Ford models. New additions to the range include tailor-made retrofit solutions for the Ford Explorer and the Ford Puma Gen-E.

For the Ford Explorer, the vertically detachable ORIS AK41 and the ORIS AK41 FIX4BIKE® are now available. Both variants are also offered as ORIS DUO sets, consisting of towbar and vehicle-specific wiring kit.

ACPS Automotive also offers a new vehicle-specific solution for the Ford Puma Gen-E. For the compact electric SUV, the vertically detachable ORIS AK41 and a matching ORIS DUO set are available.

With these new products, ACPS Automotive further expands its coverage for current Ford models and supports workshops and trade partners with tailor-made retrofit solutions.

What do our parents actually do at work all day? A question children all over the world ask themselves.

During a special Family Day at our location in Kunshan, China, our employees’ children had the opportunity to find out for themselves. Together with their parents, they explored the offices and production facilities, took a closer look at the technology behind our products and experienced their parents’ workplace from a new perspective.

There was plenty to discover beyond the production lines, too. The children played games, made new friends and put their own skills to the test by assembling small oscillating fans. They were proud to see them working.

Family Day gave us the opportunity to thank our employees and welcome their children to ORIS China. It offered our young guests an insight into their parents’ working environment while creating valuable moments outside the usual working day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible.

Was machen unsere Eltern eigentlich den ganzen Tag bei der Arbeit? Eine Frage, die sich Kinder auf der ganzen Welt stellen.

Bei einem besonderen Family Day an unserem Standort in Kunshan, China, konnten die Kinder unserer Mitarbeitenden genau das herausfinden. Gemeinsam mit ihren Eltern erkundeten sie die Büros und Produktionsbereiche, warfen einen genaueren Blick auf die Technologie hinter unseren Produkten und lernten den Arbeitsplatz ihrer Eltern aus einer ganz neuen Perspektive kennen.

Auch abseits der Produktionslinien gab es viel zu entdecken: Die Kinder spielten gemeinsam, knüpften neue Freundschaften und konnten beim Zusammenbau kleiner oszillierender Ventilatoren ihr eigenes Geschick unter Beweis stellen. Umso größer war der Stolz, als die selbst montierten Ventilatoren tatsächlich funktionierten.

Der Family Day bot uns die Gelegenheit, unseren Mitarbeitenden Danke zu sagen und ihre Kinder bei ORIS China willkommen zu heißen. Für unsere jungen Gäste war es eine Möglichkeit, das Arbeitsumfeld ihrer Eltern kennenzulernen – und zugleich gemeinsam besondere Momente außerhalb des normalen Arbeitsalltags zu erleben.
