Why are CNC inside corners never 100% sharp? 🤔

It’s not a defect—it’s the tool geometry.

CNC end mills are round, so they naturally leave an internal radius (R) in inside corners.

Want sharper corners? Smaller tools mean lower cutting parameters, longer machining time, and higher costs. 💸

💡 DFM Tips:
• Use a corner radius slightly larger than the tool radius.
• Need a square fit? Consider a dog-bone or T-bone relief.

Design for the tool, and you’ll save both time and cost.
