This week, ELCEDE was represented at All in Print China 2026 in Shanghai, joining its long-standing local distribution partner, Shanghai Baunien Trading Ltd., at their exhibition booth.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with long-standing customers from across China, exchange experiences, and discuss the future of diemaking technology, with particular attention to the specific requirements and conditions of the Chinese market.

Every day, the ELCEDE team works on new ideas and developments designed to make die tool manufacturing easier, more efficient, and more productive for customers around the world.

Sometimes it is a new electronic component, sometimes a mechanical improvement, and sometimes an innovative software solution.

But innovation is not limited to smaller improvements. ELCEDE also continuously develops entirely new machines — from the first concept through extensive testing and optimization to their final introduction to the market.

Efficient rule processing is a key element in the production of high-quality die-cutting tools.

To further optimize the preparation of steel rules, ELCEDE introduced an automated sorting station many years ago that can be connected directly to COILMATE rule processing machines.

Using intelligent software, the operator can define which processed rules are assigned to which collection boxes. This allows different jobs to be prepared and processed consecutively – even during unmanned shifts.

An important requirement for this level of automation is reliable and highly accurate bending performance. ELCEDE COILMATE machines are designed to achieve consistent bending results, while the optional QUICKSET automatic calibration module helps ensure that the bending tables remain correctly calibrated.

The result is a system that can continue producing beyond regular staffed operating hours. Jobs can be prepared in advance and processed automatically, helping manufacturers increase machine utilization and overall production efficiency.

Automation is not only about working faster – it is also about making better use of the available production time.

The new video will provide a closer look at the machine’s performance, precision, rigidity and versatility – from accurate machining of counter plates to the different functions that make the COUNTERMATE evo a powerful solution for modern diemaking production.

The COUNTERMATE evo has established itself as a benchmark in the diemaking industry for the precise and reliable milling of Pertinax and steel counter plates.

Friday is shipping day at ELCEDE.

Many ELCEDE machines are delivered to customers on other continents and therefore travel by sea freight. Depending on the destination, they may spend several weeks in transit before reaching their final location.

To ensure safe transportation, each machine is carefully prepared, packed and loaded before leaving the ELCEDE facility.

Sensitive machine components are vacuum-sealed to protect them from moisture and salty sea air during transport and to prevent corrosion. The pallets are securely fixed inside the shipping container to prevent movement and possible damage during the journey.

These measures help ensure that ELCEDE machines reach customers worldwide in the best possible condition and can be installed and put into production as quickly as possible.

At ELCEDE, improvements, optimizations, and new functionalities for the diemaking industry are continuously being developed and evaluated.

In addition to prototyping, practical testing is an important part of this process. New components, technologies, and automation concepts need to be tested under realistic conditions before they can be implemented in future applications.

To carry out these tests independently of ongoing production and customer projects, the ELCEDE R&D team has built its own test machine, internally called MYSTERYMATE.

The machine is equipped with X and Y axes as well as controlled Z and C axes. Depending on the application, the working area can be configured with a vacuum table or with a dedicated bed for the extraction of process gases.

MYSTERYMATE can be used for a variety of processes, including milling, cutting, grinding, measuring, and other applications. This makes it possible to test different components, processes, and automation concepts under practical conditions.

The machine has already been used in several development projects, helping to test concepts and transfer ideas into practical applications.

The next project is currently in progress and will be presented soon.

Continuous development and improvement for the diemaking industry have been part of ELCEDE’s work for many years.

After more than 10 years of operation, the existing 3D printer at ELCEDE has been replaced by a current-generation model.

The new system offers additional technical capabilities. Multiple materials can be processed, while an integrated laser can also be used for marking and engraving parts.

The 3D printer is mainly used by our engineering department for prototyping. It supports the development of new parts and components by making designs physically tangible and allowing concepts to be visualized and simulated at an early stage.

3D printing therefore provides a useful link between digital design and practical evaluation during the development process.
