The AR-DV10 from AOR is a compact broadband handheld scanner for demanding users who want to receive a variety of modern digital transmission types in addition to classic analog signals. The 5-band folding beam by Foldingantennas is an extremely compact shortwave directional antenna based on the Hexbeam principle (G3TXQ), which was specially developed for fast, tool-free portable operation 🛰️. The end-fed half-wave antenna (EFHW) is one of the most popular concepts in amateur radio 📻. It convinces you not only when space is limited, but above all with its convenient feed directly at the end, which makes it equally attractive for your permanent home installation and for portable operations 🌲. But how does the antenna perform when put under the microscope on the test bench and in practice 🔍?

Dr.-Ing. Holger Altmaier, DL5HA, has intensively tested the WiMo EFHW for the 80m to 10m bands at his second QTH and summarized his experiences in a critical report 📝.
