When our machines are combined together as in the image, this represents a full BMD Wheel Assembly Production Line of our machines. This covers every aspect of wheel assembly from lacing, rim taping, truing and tire fitting(stand alone unit). It also contains 2x Obelisk truing machines in the line working side by side, which is what we believe to be the fastest set up for high production. This set up is currently being utilized to great potential by our customers in Europe and the United states who are among the largest producers of bicycles in Europe and America. It is however possible to run our machines as stand alone units or to link 1x Lacing Machine with 1x Truing Machine to achieve fast efficient automation, if you purchase these two machines together as a minimum order, we will even throw in the specially protected running tracks between the machines, free of charge, to complete your automation!

The BMD wheel carousel is the next generation system to store large amounts of wheels in a small volume in or after the production line. By doing this it is possible to regulate the production flow between different machines without interfering overall production time. One carrousel can store the same amount of wheels as a 12 meter long track (approx. 14 wheels), however our solution needs only 1.8 meter in diameter. The wheels are detected and the carousel will move ahead and set a free slot ready to be filled. Using the carousel after the truing machine makes a good storage place for the wheels that are going to be fitted with tires. The machine is constructed with hardwood or plastic guides to give maximum protection to the wheel surfaces.

The BMD rim tape machine is a flexible machine for various rim tape applications. This intelligently designed machine enables you to apply tape to bicycle rims precisely and automatically. Due to its design it is easy to set the machine for different rim diameters and rim heights. The process is fully automatic, during the application of the tape it detects the position of the valve hole. After the tape application is completed it will cut a hole at the valve hole position. The wheel database will set the different parameters used for the application of the tape. A new tape roll can be installed in a matter of seconds. The machine uses the same control system and user interface as on the other BMD machines meaning it can easily be incorporated into a production line of our machinery. This makes the use of the machine easy for operators and service. The simple structured menu leads you easily and intuitively to all machine functions.
Whether you need to apply rim tape to aluminum rims, carbon rims, or e-bike rims, you can trust our proven rim taping machines.

Our universal tire fitting machine can be used for mounting a wide range of tires to various sized rims. It is easy adjustable to different diameters from 12" to 28" and allows tires to be fitted whilst still allowing the wheel to stay true.

The BMD 250 Obelisk II bicycle wheel truing machine is a fast, user-friendly truing machine with two operating ni**le keys. The use of modern techniques, such as brushless servomotors without gearboxes and digital control means that the Obelisk can be set with great accuracy. With a production speed of 40 to 100 wheels per hour, the Obelisk is one of the fastest machines of its type.

As used by some of the largest wheel manufactures worldwide for their high volume production where speed, efficiency and quality results are a must. However our Obelisk wheel truing machine is not limited to high volume production with many small volume high-end carbon wheel producers now utilizing our machines for their low volume runs of various rim sizes and spoke/hub combinations. Our truing machines can be quickly set up to true various types of wheels, allowing quick alternation between types. Ebike wheel sets are also no problem for our truing machine and has already been adopted by many ebike producers worldwide.
