Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of training another excellent group of technicians through ASSET professional courses here in Cyprus.
Students travelled from Serbia, Egypt, Cyprus, and the UK to develop their skills, improve their knowledge, and train to a higher professional standard in scuba equipment servicing, cylinder inspection, hydrostatic testing, and dive industry technical practice.
This is what ASSET is about — raising standards, building real competence, and supporting safer operations across the diving industry.

The last three weeks have been full on, demanding, and incredibly rewarding.

I’m proud to say I have just successfully completed another round of ASSET professional technician training courses here in Cyprus, including:

🧪 Cylinder Visual Inspection – Part 1
⚙️ Hydrostatic Cylinder Testing – Part 2

Students joined us from Egypt, Cyprus, and the UK, all with the same goal — to improve standards, build real competence, and take their technical skills to a higher professional level.

These courses are hands-on, standards-driven, and built around real equipment and real workshop practice.

They are not just about certificates — they are about developing technicians who can work responsibly on life-support equipment.

I’m proud to announce that ASSET – Association of Scuba Service Engineers and Technicians has officially been awarded CPD Standards Office Accreditation for our training courses.

This means ASSET is now formally recognised as an Accredited CPD Training Provider, and our courses meet internationally recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards.

This accreditation confirms that ASSET training:

This intensive 10-day program is designed for those serious about working professionally in the dive industry.

The DITC includes:
