This course is not just about receiving a certificate. It is about learning real workshop skills, understanding scuba equipment properly, and building the confidence to work as a competent dive technician.

Regulators, cylinders, valves, compressors, servicing procedures, documentation, and safety all form part of the training.

Well done on your achievement β€” and remember, ASSET support does not stop when the course finishes. We are always here to help our technicians when questions come up later in the workshop.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of training another excellent group of technicians through ASSET professional courses here in Cyprus.
Students travelled from Serbia, Egypt, Cyprus, and the UK to develop their skills, improve their knowledge, and train to a higher professional standard in scuba equipment servicing, cylinder inspection, hydrostatic testing, and dive industry technical practice.
This is what ASSET is about β€” raising standards, building real competence, and supporting safer operations across the diving industry.
ASSET sets, teaches, and audits professional standards for scuba service engineers and technicians, aligned with European and international pressure-systems safety.
To everyone who attended: congratulations on completing your training. Your hard work, commitment, and attitude throughout the courses were excellent.
I wish each of you every success for the future in your professional careers, and I hope the training you completed with ASSET helps you grow, progress, and lead by example in your own countries and workplaces.

30/01/2026

Why the ASSET Visual Inspection Course Is Stronger.

ASSET does not teach awareness.
ASSET teaches inspectable, defensible competence.

ASSET’s course is built on:
European pressure-systems practice
International inspection standards
Engineering-led inspection logic
Professional accountability

It prepares technicians to make decisions that can withstand audit, investigation, and legal scrutiny.

Stronger, Standards-Led ASSET

Scuba Cylinder Visual Inspection Is Not Awareness Training

It is a pressure-systems responsibility.
ASSET is not a recreational training agency.

ASSET is a professional standards body for scuba service engineers and technicians.

The ASSET Scuba Cylinder Visual Inspection Course is designed for technicians who require standards-based competence, not general inspection awareness.

What Makes ASSET Different

ASSET inspection training is:
βœ” Standards-driven
βœ” Engineering-led
βœ” Audit-ready
βœ” Internationally aligned
βœ” Built on professional accountability

The course is aligned with European and international pressure-systems principles, including ISO-aligned inspection logic, not recreational guidance.

ASSET Teaches:

β€’ Cylinder inspection as a pressure-vessel discipline, not a dive skill
β€’ Understanding why defects matter, not just how to spot them
β€’ Steel vs aluminium inspection criteria
β€’ Thread forms, sealing geometry, and fatigue risks
β€’ Condemnation thresholds and inspection decision logic
β€’ Inspection documentation, traceability, and technician liability
β€’ Alignment with European and international inspection practice

This is training for technicians who must stand behind their inspection decisions.

Who This Course Is For:

This programme is intended for:
β€’ Dive technicians
β€’ Cylinder inspectors
β€’ Service engineers
β€’ Dive centres requiring audit-ready inspection practices
β€’ Organisations operating under European or international safety expectations.

It is not an awareness course for divers.
It has Professional Outcomes.

ASSET certification demonstrates that:
β€’ Inspection decisions are made within a recognised standards framework
β€’ Technicians understand both technical risk and legal responsibility
β€’ Inspection practices are suitable for audit, insurance, and regulatory review

ASSET Sets the Standard!

ASSET sets, teaches, and audits professional standards for scuba service engineers and technicians, aligned with British, European and International pressure-systems safety.

If you inspect cylinders,
your decisions must be defensible β€” not just well-intended.
