We were proud to represent our work at the CO2 Pacman Impact Forum, held in Athens.

During the forum, Vasilis Petrou and Konstantinos Smagas presented our session “Interactive Tools for Climate-Neutral Interventions: Engagement and Evaluation”, showcasing how immersive and interactive technologies can support public engagement, education, and decision-making for climate transition initiatives.

Alongside the presentation, we demonstrated six interactive VR experiences developed for the pilot islands of Brač, Crete, and Elba — offering participants the opportunity to explore renewable energy interventions and future landscape scenarios through immersive visualization.

We also introduced our brand-new CO2PACMAN minigame, designed as a fun and educational interactive experience that helps communicate sustainability and climate-neutrality concepts in an engaging way for wider audiences.

It was inspiring to exchange ideas with researchers, policymakers, stakeholders, and project partners from across the Mediterranean and contribute to the discussion on innovative pathways toward climate neutrality.

A big thank you to all partners and organizers of the CO2 PACMAN Impact Forum for a truly impactful event!

Great to be part of the CO2 Pacman Lab in Elba 🇮🇹

As GEOIMAGING, we actively contributed to the event by showcasing our immersive VR experience, designed to support dialogue around energy transition and CO₂ mitigation.

Through hands-on interaction, participants explored future scenarios and engaged directly with the challenges and opportunities of renewable energy planning.

💡 Our contribution focused on:
• Translating complex design plans into immersive, easy-to-understand experiences
• Enabling citizens and stakeholders to explore and compare scenarios
• Supporting informed discussion through visualization and interaction

From testing the VR to exchanging ideas with participants, it was inspiring to see technology acting as a bridge between data, design, and real-world decision-making.

A great example of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement shaping the path toward a more sustainable future 🌍

CO2 Pacman Lab – Elba Island

At GEOIMAGING, we brought design plans to life through an immersive VR experience, bridging real-world presence with future energy scenarios.

🎥 Starting from a real-world interaction and transitioning inside the VR, the experience allowed participants to step into possible futures of Elba’s energy landscape.

Inside the simulation, users explored two key scenarios:

🔹 Quarry PV Park

From an aerial overview down to ground level, participants observed how photovoltaic systems integrate into the landscape, understanding layout, scale, and functionality up close.

🔹 Near-Shore Wind Farm (14 turbines)

A dynamic journey—from the coastline to the top of a wind turbine, and even a hot air balloon perspective—offering a full spatial understanding of wind energy deployment.

Our goal: make energy transition tangible, interactive, and open to discussion.

Great to see citizens and stakeholders engaging, questioning, and reflecting while inside the scenarios—not just looking at them.
